Saving this for inspiration! You look great! Your face was georgeus in the before picture too, but the new figure is really flattering!

So many great advice here. I needed them too. Marfy, so sorry to head about your Grandma. I believe that you will be able to make it through this very hard time without emotional eating (you're obviously willing to do it - why else would you post here?). I also believe that when you make it now, you will be able to make it…

You look awesome! Congratulations and keep up that great work!!

That's why you can write it off as a cheat meal and move on. No reason to cry over spilt milk, there's not that much of it anyway. You've only been dieting for a couple of days and changing habits require time -- just think of how long it took you to aquire them, surely it will not take 5 days to get rid of them! The most…

Idunno, your cycle doesn't affect me much... jk, jk ;)) Both my sister and I bloat like crazy during our periods. It must be water, because even though the scale comes up, it goes away right after my period. So I'm not too bothered by whatever the scale says during my period and shortly before. :)

Wait, you didn't mention you stay away from beer, you Dane! ;)) But seriously - welcome! :) And don't worry about losing weight a bit slower. I heard women actually lose weight much slower than men, so you shouldn't compare yourself to your hubby. I'm sure this site will help you estimate the calories better :) and don't…

Try C25K! :)

Way to go! :) If you have trouble breating, make sure you go... slow enough! What I found helped me, was inhaling with my nose, exhaling with mouth. Makes breathing more steady. :) Also, a mantra! I keep repeating to myself that I should go steady and smoothly, like water :) C25K is wonderful, very much worth sticking to!…

Wait, so your diet is no snacks, proper lunch and tea... that doesn't seem barbaric to me... ;) How about getting a size 8 clothing you really wanna fit into, and keep it in sight at home etc. Also, snacks are ok, as long as they're healthy - candy bar is a no-no, sliced cucumber is awesome.

This is 1 lb of fat: And you've lost it! It's awesome! Don't undermine what you've achieved and don't let it take you off track - if you do then you'll definitely not reach your goal. And you CAN do it!

I've been vegetarian for a couple of years now, but I recently started eating fish (started when I was on a very strict diet for allergies and it was much easier for me to eat fish :()

But... why can't you just run and save $1800? O_o

Well, you came to the right place for support :) There's no good in crying over spilt milk - you had a tough time, you're *definitely* not the only one who would have done the same... the question is, are you gonna be among the ones who decided that they are going to change right here, right now. :) And there's strength in…

I always say that one unhealtly meal won't ruin your healthy diet, just like one healthy meal wouldn't help if you were eating crap all the time. Also - you're trying to lose weight to feel better and happier - but what's the use if you can't celebrate once in a while and miss out on those kind of things? That being said,…

One evening of bad eating won't ruin your healthy diet just like one evening of healthy eating wouldn't help eating crap all the time. ;) Also - you're doing this because you want to feel better and be happier... but what's the use if you can't celebrate once in a while? So take it easy and enjoy your evening! :)

One week is nothing yet, so don't worry! Is your period coming? Most of the time your body is storing up water before the period and, for example, my scale won't move for over a week before my period. But then, bam, it all goes away after I have it. :)

"Veggies are free", I believe - even if I'm close to my calorie limit and I'm hungry, I get some veggies (raw or steamed), even with some butter or olive oil so that nutrients can get assimilated.
-
I think it all comes with time :) If I were you I'd take it easy and first try to get used to getting 1200 kcal by taking healthier food choices. Who knows - maybe the other numbers will follow naturally? If not, you can work on that from then. Take it easy, and stick with it! :)
-
I love that metaphor! I think you could be subconciously worried "what if I need them after all..." but it's not happening!! [I know I would/will have a fear like that, that's why it came to my mind!]
-
Thanks guys, you're the best, that made me feel better :)
-
We have a similar number of kg we wanna lose! :) Added you! (And I'm from Poland btw ;))

One thing I can tell you for sure - drinking water will absolutely NOT cause you weight gain! Edit: Water weight is when your body holds on to water as much as it can if you're not drinking enough. That's why when people start dieting and start drinking the amount of water they /should/ be drinking, their bodies stop…

@Fromaquizer, thanks! I guess I'll give it a shot then. :) Gonna go buy dumbbells today. :) Thank you!
-
I'm still hesistant whether to do it or not... I'm working out almost every day anyway and I don't really wanna be sore (and I heard that what happens when you do the Shred). :(
-
I'd do D1W1, see how it feels - if way too easy, move on a bit and see how another day/week works. Also - it depends what you're really aiming for - if you simply want to be able to run for half hour, you should be good with what I just wrote. If you want it as a HIIT - I can't see why not doing it from the beginning. :)
-
Maybe you're not measuring in the same places? But anyway, if people notice - congrats!
-
Heh... what worked for me was just being miserable and whiny to the point that I myself was tired with it and when I felt that, I just said "that's it, I'm getting the **** to work". I don't know if there's any other way to do it than JUST DOING IT. First step is the hardest! Maybe making smaller goals will work better for…

All right! Thanks for the answers! :)

I'd make the stuff I eat, in the quantities that your relatives are used to. :) (If there are any leftovers, you can just eat them some other day. ;)) Or, as the first replier wrote, just do some of those high-cal dishes in a lower-cal version. :)

I believe that as soon as you get off that couch - it's working and effective! I use the MFP's calorie count as for my training. I realize it's overinflated but I just keep that in mind and don't bother to correct the number (I don't know the real amount anyway), I don't eat as much as my calorie limit here allows me…
