  • I weigh myself every morning, after going to the bathroom, but I only record my weight on Saturday mornings and, I own that number even though my weight will fluctuate during the week.......lol. For instance, this morning, the scale said 170 lbs. so that's the weight I wrote on my "check-in" this morning but, tomorrow, it…
  • Personally, I prefer low carb/high fat but that is just me. I don't even look at the calories when I shop because the majority of your complex carbs is usually pretty low in calories, anyway. I try to stay away from the grains/pastas/rice, etc. although I do have a slice of low carb bread in the morning with my eggs or…
  • I just ordered me a Nokia Scale so I can start using TrendWeight.......lol
  • Unfortunately, I am also addicted to the scale but I don't let it get me down. And, let's not forget, you are exercising and working out, which builds muscles, so although you might not see it on the scale (a lb. of muscle and a lb. of fat weigh exactly the same), muscles are more dense and compact so you would see it in…
  • I quit for over a year using the Logic E-cig. Unfortunately, I went back to smoking but I do plan on quitting again. Just have to buckle down a set a date.
  • I drink 1/2 caff now and usually only 1 cup in the morning before work. When I don't have to go to work, I'll sometimes have 2 cups in the morning and, if I feel like having coffee later in the day, I'll drink a cup of decaf only because the 1/2 caff keeps me up for hours and I would like to be able to sleep (I think this…
  • I do because my blood pressure seems to run a little high and I don't take any medication for it. That's not saying I always meet those goals though... :/
  • 64 oz. is a 1/2 gallon........128 oz. is a gallon.
  • Wow!! You're lucky.......lol. If I drank anything even close to that I'd be in/out the bathroom all day.......lol.
  • I'm no expert but I wouldn't think it to be healthy. I have a friend who drinks a ton of water and she's been hospitalized a few times because her sodium levels drop too low. Now, she's also on water pills so I don't know if that has anything to do with it but, I would think, unless you're drinking something which contains…
  • Yes, I am back to low carb, again. For awhile I fell off the low carb wagon (to the tune of 30 lbs. added out of the almost 50 lbs. I had lost when I started this lifestyle back in 2006) but I've always been semi-conscientious of what I would eat. I fell into the "one pastry won't hurt" or "one handful of chips won't hurt"…
  • LOL..........just reading the dates on this post (was wondering why it said I was 52 years old....lol) and realizing I'm 3 years late....... :/
  • Thanx, Everybody for all the responses. Sorry I haven't posted on this thread but I thought it was lost somewhere down the line on the list of threads. Just found the "My Discussions" tab and realized there were so many responses here......lol. Have to get ready for work but will send out friend request this evening when I…
  • I just made a Homemade Meatloaf yesterday which, according to MFP, is only 4g (net carbs) per serving. I used about 2 lbs. ground beef, 1 medium onion (chopped small), 3 slices of Schmidts Whole Wheat 647 bread (a low carb bread, made by Schmidt's, which is only 6g (net) carbs per slice), 2 eggs, 3 tblsp. Parmesan cheese,…
  • Light and Fit Greek yogurt would not fit into somebody's meal plan who is only allowing themselves 20g net carbs per day but, as far a yogurts go, they are only 9g carbs per container. One of the lowest I've seen and, being as I allow myself up to 60g net carbs per day, I do, on occasion, enjoy one with frozen berries and…
  • I follow a low carb diet. I try to keep my carbs to no more than 60g per day. How I started was I decided to stay away from all of the "white stuff" (sugar, flour, rice, pasta, potatoes, etc.) and things made from them (bread, cookies, cakes, donuts, candy, etc.). Now, that's not saying I don't eat bread at all. I am not…
  • I only buy bottled water if I'm thirsty in work. Other than that, it's tap water or Adirondack White Chocolate sparkling water.
  • Feel free to add me.........
  • Thanx, I was wondering the same thing
  • I'll be 56 in 2 more weeks. Just added you as a friend..........
  • My name is Patty and I am currently living at the Jersey Shore. Originally from Bayonne, NJ. Feel free to add me as I haven't figured out how to add friends just yet. If somebody could help me with this I'd truly appreciate it......
  • Yes, it is most certainly possible. I have lost close to 50 lbs., in the past, without any formal exercise. Now, I am back at trying to loose about 30 lbs. of the 50 lbs. I had previously lost and am down 12 lbs. without any exercise.
  • I will be going to my sister's for Thanksgiving and, although she will be having all the "fixings", I intend to bring a few things for myself (and other's if they care to try them) to try to keep me somewhat on track. I don't know what plan you are following but I am following a low carb plan so I plan on bringing my…
  • I'm looking to lose at least 30 lbs., probably more. Add me if you like........ :)
  • Hi Jessica........feel free to add me, also. I started (again) doing low carb on 9/12/17. So far I'm down 9.5 lbs and I'm starting to feel a lot more energetic. Last time (before falling off the l/c wagon) I lost close to 50 lbs. I was a lot younger then so this time it's talking a little longer to come off. It's all good…
  • Of course, in this endeavor to lose weight, my abs will be the last place I lose it being as that is where all my fat likes to hang out. I am, however, being diligent with the weighted ab crunch machine and the weighted torso twist machines in hopes that when the belly fat finally does go away, there won't be any jelly…

  • The gym I go to is even more crowded now because the other "local" gym had closed it's doors at the end of December to make way for a Whole Foods. From what I heard, my gym had over 350 new members sign up in January. It's all good though. Everybody deserves a chance to be healthy and with the hours I work, I can go in the…
  • This is true and onions actually have quite a bit of carbs and are usually left for maintenance.
