  • I just started running too and at over 200lbs I am scared about getting hurt. I am following the Jeff Galloway programs as I am training for events at Walt Disney World and he has partnered with them on how to train for the events. It involves interval running, so running at EG: 15 min/mile — 30 sec running/45 sec…
  • Sent you a FR! I just came back after an absence on MFP but I'm back :-)
  • Not sure when in your journey you tried the 30DS but now that you are so much lighter you may want to try again as you may find it easier :-) But CONGRATS on your amazing weight loss and you can reach your goal! You just need to find something you like - you already walk...what about running? I just started and am heavier…
  • And it's better than the 540 you get in an actual Big Mac - everything in moderation :-)
  • I get it. I have been overweight since I was a child and I have been emotionally binge eating since before puberty. Finally at 33 I am doing something about it - I have never really dieted but have tried to change my lifestyle a couple of times but failed at committing to the change. Now it is the only way - yes I still…
  • The only time it is dangerous to drink ice water (that it "shocks" your system) is if you are over heated or experiencing heat stroke - then you need to bring your temp down and yes the ice water is too much of a difference. I know when I am overheated that ice water makes me feel sick and want to vomit but lukewarm will…
  • While moderate intake of caffeine is actually good for you, it is a diuretic, so for every 8oz of caffeinated beverage including coffee and tea - you should have 16oz of water to counter the diuretic effect if you are trying to increase your hydration levels.
  • http://www.besthealthmag.ca/eat-well/healthy-eating/why-spicy-food-is-good-for-you If this article's sources are accurrate there are a lot of possible health benefits to eating spicier food - hot sauce specifically I would watch the salt even if it doesn't have a lot of calories.
  • Hi! I'm 5'4" on a good day and trying to lose another 100lbs - we can totally do this! FR sent :-)
  • I'm doing c25k now too - on week 3 - if your don't have the smart phone app you should get it - it's free and there are three styles of "trainer" to help you! I like the Drill Sargent and you can post your results :-)
  • OK - so after I wipe down my entire machine and yeah I'm gonna do my three sets with a pause between - why would i want someone else using the machine to get it all sweaty with their funk and why would they want to be on the machine with mine??? Let me do my three sets, wipe down after and leave - then you can have the…
  • Welcome! I sent you a friend request :-) I don't usually have that problem unless I go long times between meals and then eat a late dinner. But this is a great tool and community to help figure it all out!
  • Welcome! Do you have a smart phone you can use the app on? I find it easier to just log my day as I go instead of waiting to get online at home. I sent you a friend request!
  • Don't know about about much will be gained but I know with my hubby there will be some improvement as his pelvis is where he has a layer of cushioning :-)
  • You can get no or low sodium chicken boullion but if the cube is full salt then you don't really need any extra :-) Sound yummy other wise, as far as the drumsticks - dark meat has more fat content and calories than breast/white meat but you can decide if that's ok with you, personally I don't like the dark meat but I know…

  • There is nothing Natural in natural flavour - its a masking name manufacturers are allowed to use to hide the chemical mix they use to preserve and make food taste they way it does. Read the book Fast Food Nation for an acurate explanation of what exactly a "natural flavour" is. It's pretty scary stuff :-(
  • Friend request sent :-)
  • Sent a friend request! Anyone on here can add me if you like!
  • Not a dog owner but I have two cats that used to be on Royal Canin (the shelter we got them from fed it to them and I couldn't get them off of it for the longest time ). Don't use it! Its all corn and meat by-product - basically crack for dog/cats. Agree that you should go for a feed where meat is the first few…
  • I know how you feel and I still deal with it - I'm only 5'3" and still need to lose 100lbs. I get weird looks at the gym but I can't let that bother me - I am there to workout and anyone who has a problem with that can %$#* OFF! Funny that I read your post - yesterday at the gym a skinny boy gave me a weird look, kinda…
  • I truly don't understand - obviously I'm still fat and do not post pics of myself on FB very much and certainly not from the sholders down - but if I looked like you (female version of course) I would update my profile pic HOURLY!!!! Especially after all the hard work to get there!!! If people hate on you for this -…

  • DON'T GIVE UP!!! That said - sounds like you may need to add weights to your routine, muscle burns more calories and it will help increase your bone density - which is really important for women as we get older. You will gain muscle, lose fat, burn more calories overall and increase your bone health!
  • WOW people have a lot of feelings on this! Ok, here's mine! It was EXTREMELY RUDE for you to TEXT at dinner, especially as Japanese hibachi is a show experience and what time the show is not on is when you can socialize with your party! I don't think it was necessarily rude of you not to order - just a little strange as it…
  • OP - Please keep going with the logging of your calories - if nothing else it will help you learn what portions and calories are in the foods you normally consume and help make the connect of why you are not at an ideal weight for your size/age/height. Keep logging, try to make better choices and see how the calorie count…
  • You have such a pretty name - said in that tone we all hate :-( My name used to be rare when I was little and is now still uncommon...its the only "compliment" I ever got as a child - I was fat then too.
  • LOL love the edits on my above post!
