I agree with the idea to get gortex shoes. I found a pair by nike the other day, but solomon does make lots of high quality gortex stuff, so those ones would probably be pretty good. I'd say keep going with week 1. You might be OK cardiovascularly, but you also need to worry about conditioning your body for running too. It's only a couple of days. Get em done and feel good about completing the program as a whole. Have fun!

Peanut butter and avocados are both high in fat... healthy fat I know... but I am doing OK with healthy fats as it is... Smoothies are basically fruit.

If I know I am going out, I will try and work out extra sometime before or after the social event. That way I am OK to have an extra glass of wine. If you are staying within your calorie limit, you are unlikely to put weight back on... and when you're on vacation, I don't think you could ask for much better. It is extremely difficult to stick to a regime when you are out of your comfort zone.
