  • Im starting it this week-I have done it before and had really good results. After a period of sickness and laziness I now have it all to lose again. Feel free to add me. I'm using the MFP app as a way of logging my food as it's handy for my phone but I'm not counting calories. Things I have found useful are LOTS of water,…
  • I have had this with friends too-not in the same way. I guess I was always the bigger friend. I get it with one friend mainly when goign round for dinner. She won't tell me what we are having, so I can't plan ahead, she pretends to not know like its a last min decision and whinges when I don't put extra things like mayo on…
  • I'd kill for your cheekbones :)
  • I read about this today-what a joke!
  • ohh and I posted this topic in the week to cheer myself up. I have come along way and I think I look pretty good right now....imagine how I feel when I reach my goal http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/398190-45lbs-down-counting-a-few-pics
  • You should follow their advice and not going that far below-starving yourself will have a negative effect on you. It's not healthy-your body will go into starvation mode. I'm at 176 and 1200 is too low for me-I find I don't lose (much) when I eat that. I upped mine by a few hundred and it's coming off nicely now.
  • Some excllent words of wisdom flying around here....you guys are amazing and I am feeling very strong right now. Listening to the song 'Let him fly' by Patty Griffen and the words just ring so true. I have good friends, good family and lovely support from you guys to help me every step of the way to reaching my goal. No…
  • It was because of the break up that I signed up-I wanted something to do as a challenge-something to get my teeth into. :)
  • Thanks so much guys-it took almost 6 days to admit it-even some of my closest friends don't know. My priority is me, no one is going to stop me getting to my goal. I want this more than ever. Love you all xxx
  • Damnnnn-I live just outside London, UK.
  • I'm always lighter in the mornings. I get up, pee (try for something more-every little helps...TMI I know) strip to my birthday suit and hope on. I can fluctuate so much throughout the week and I see no harm in weighing every day so long as what you see doesn't de-motivate you. For me, this week-I weighed 3.5 lbs heavier…
  • Thanks so much for all the lovely words and beautiful friends requests. Even though I know I have lost weight-it's hard to see it sometimes when you are focused on a number. At 27 years old I feel I look the best I ever have in my life-and that includes being a teenager. :) x
  • thanks for all your congrats-here if anyone needs a friend xx
  • That is soooooo funny-and something I would do. Bless you!
  • I probably should have said-I am 5'7'' and hope to get to 150lbs as my first goal.
  • BINGO-thank you so very much-I'd have been here all night!
  • I'm hoping to get to 150lbs to start with...but who knows?
  • do you know how to make it smaller?
  • I booked my place for the London WD. I have convinced my brother to do it with me too. I was telling my receptionist at work about it too and she loves the idea-so maybe she'll join in too!
  • Hey gang-how are we all doing this week-are you guys having good or bad weeks. I have found that this week I am even more motivated than before....I'm even considering taking part in the 2012 London Warrior Dash. Which is crazy talk from me (someone who doesn't even run). I figure that this will be motivation to start…
  • I am seriously tempted. As a non-runner this might be crazy but I think what the heck-I have 7 months to get into shape and train for it. So many people swear by signing up to an event as a way of getting motivated. I have emailed my brother to see if he fancies the challenge-if he says yes then I am defo going to do…
  • losing 6lbs in two weeks because I finally got back in the 'weightloss zone'. It has spurred me on to be even more motivated and helping me keep focused on my goals. x
  • I have them too-I read they are good for the liver due to the antioxidants (I have liver disease-so this is high on my priority lists). I am dubious of any miracle weight loss secret like that. I am losing weight but that's because I work out, drink loads of water and green tea and keep within my calorie goals.
  • Just keep going-I always find the first two weeks a challenge to get going when I have let msyself slide down the slippery slope. Keep going and refresh your memory with a glimpse of your hopes, dreams and your positive attitude. It will help on the 'hard' days. Well done and long may it continue. x
  • We all need a place to start. The important thing is that you have made a commitment to yourself to do good for yourself. Keep your chin up-lots of us here have either been or are in the same boat as you. The path is never easy but neither is life. It's hard being overweight-it's hard changing your lifestyle and making a…
  • I just wanted to say "YAHOOOOO!" in two weeks I have lost 6lbs thanks to this challenge. I just don't want to let anyone down and more importantly-I don't want to let myself down. Can't wait to see all your logs for this week. xx
  • Right guys-it's our second weigh in tomorrow. How are you all feeling about it? I have had a good week food wise-not been over-exercise has been on the quiet side-getting over a nasty cold/chest infection which has stopped me working out (I'm asthmatic so having breath is an issue for me when I get sick). I am however…
  • I'm pretty much the same....however I have a highlight of the month with a delivery of surprise monthly luxuary cosmetics and beauty products-I can't eat it but make up is the other great love in my life Here is the order of the loves of my life 1 food 2 make up/cosmetics 3 boyfriend. (hope he doesn't read this) ;)
  • Whilst I do agree with you, I do feel that if you chose to lose weight in a sensible and maintainable way then you are giving yourself the best tools to maintain. I used to work with a girl who would base the quality of a diet on which one let her eat the most chocolate-surely a lifestyle change for the better is the best…
