You're not fooling anyone. You better believe the insurance is going to fight tooth and nail if you happen to die from smoking related illness like emphysema or lung cancer. They will not let you get away that easy lol

The New England Journal of Medicine published a study, which can be found here: http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJM199710093371506 "Health care costs for smokers at a given age are as much as 40 percent higher than those for nonsmokers, but in a population in which no one smoked the costs would be 7 percent higher…

nova is good for oversimplyfing theories - basically giving you the gist of it. if you like reading about the fabric of our universe, i recommend stephen hawkings 'a brief history of time'. the original one, not the 'a briefer history..' haha

Brett, I don't know if you ever check out TED videos, but I saw a great one recently on recent research of Distinguishing between what is life and what isn't. Researchers are trying to create poly cells out of essentially lifeless matter Check it out:…

I agree, class distinction is at the heart of it.

What about people of different culture? Stats show intercultural marriages have higher divorce rates - I'll source it if u want. Just playin the devils advocate here, since I'm in an inter-cultural affair myself

I can see how the line is blurred but it has to do with function. An athletes purpose is to compete in a specific sport with focus in that area (ie. bball player will focus on hand/eye coordination, shooting, jumping, endurance etc) A bodybuilders function is to develop muscles for its own purpose. Some athletes have to…

I will probably get flamed for this but: Is it just me or is there a disproportionately large amount of black men with large white females? I say this in comparison to white men with large black females- which I hardly ever see. Maybe this is just my observation, and tell me if I'm way out to lunch here but.... What's that…

Theres another debate group called Debate club, kind of redundant.. Is there a way to amalgamate the two groups? Would you guys even want to? I enjoy reading everyones responses. Debates are good for bringing people outside of their shell and question things a bit more. :)

And I was answer the question too. Don't be so sensitive and perpetuate the stereotype
-
Haha you think you understand better than me! When you grow up as a minority in a country where there is ongoing ethnic genocide, and the people you love are actually killed as opposed to your ancestors than get back to me. Trust me when I tell u this, you have no idea how bad it could get
-
Nah, you're making it a bigger deal than it is. Or maybe that's just the way we see it up here. If everyone became so sensitive about their own minority status, we would never be able to communicate with one another. Labels are wrong, but it's better to remove the power a single word has and to trivialize it, then draw…

Lol. There, that proves my point. Comedy.

If it was my kid who died, yes. But if it was my kid who tormented then no. Jk. As usual, with these types of questions, you need to have experienced this to be more understanding. Luckily I never went through this, so I can't relate. But I can imagine it would be rough on the victims parents. Justice is rarely fair to…

+1. Nicely done

Lol who is that? Kinda looks like mark Munoz

As far as I understand they're not very strict with enforcing it. Also, it's not specific to burqas but all face coverings, I believe this affects other religions as well. Not sure if it's going to have the intended effect.. When freedoms are trumped, it pops up in other areas of public life for everyone

<--- thinks reality tv shows are pure comedy

I don't know, I use it occasionally as a joke... I probably shouldn't buy lets face it, it's funny

I love meat eaters.

I was on the upper/lower body split for several months, and decided to try the full body routine starting this week. The idea is to keep the body guessing, as I was starting to lose motivation and plateau (may just be broscience tho)

Ryan bader and James Irvin walk around at 220lbs. For 6'1 and 6'2 that would typically be considered overweight but they obviously maintain very Low body fat % which is why I would classify them more as body builder types than athletic body type. This is in comparison to a 6'1 180lb with similar body fat % who would fit in…

I would like to look more like a body builder but not too bulky. James Irvin from the UFC or Ryan bader come to mind

Very interesting correlation. Thanks for the info!

at some point it becomes a philosopical issue and less of a scientific one, since when we get down to the chromosome level it all kind of becomes obscure and unrelatable. its hard to say that a single cell can be classified as 'life' in any qualitative aspect. so i'll just leave it at that :)
-
ya i figured... theres tons of days where i can just feel my body being sore, and i convince myself to still go. in retrospect, its probably counterproductive :s

Others mostly plateauing as well. I should mention that my routine is strictly: Day 1: chest Day 2: back Day 3: legs Repeat 6 days per week Should I be hitting arms, delts, and shoulders also? I've definitely been neglecting them :( Might be the 6 day routine is wearing me out, I should rest more shouldn't i
