FABULOUS!!!! The AHA's low fat diet is killing us slowly and making us FAT. I went from eating low fat diet to eating eggs, bacon/sausage/livermush for breakfast and avoiding processed foods among other changes. ALL my numbers improved as well. SUGAR is the real enemy (which is added in abundance in all low fat products)…

Some people actually are conscious of everything they eat and choose a healthy lifestyle over satisfying every urge to overeat. Don't think that people that are not overweight don't have urges/cravings/etc. There are actually those people that choose not to give into them.

I am so sorry to hear this. Prayers

I did WW in the past, but got so tired of having to convert food to points, carry all these papers/charts/point conversion tools. Also, I just got tired of having to leave the house to go to meetings and the online WW app wasn't satisfactory to me. PLUS you have to pay while this one is free.

Absolutely go get fitted for proper shoes. AND get good socks. Go to a real running store where people are properly trained to fit you - not a big chain. Tell them you walk and they will get you started with the proper shoes. Take all the time you need and try on as many different brands as you need. Be prepared to pay…

WOW! You look fabulous, and your eyes look so big and beautiful

When training for my marathon I was hungry ALL THE TIME. 20 mile runs, while using up a bunch of calories, also created a hunger in me that I could not ignore or satisfy. Maybe it was mental too, but I did gain weight while training for that. I was able to lose weight pretty easily while training for half marathons. My…

My husband does HFLC and lost a lot of weight. It works well for him.

There are actually many benefits attributed to IF. The Endocrinologist in the physician practice I go to as well as the ones that are part of the hospital I work at all use IF with their patients with metabolic syndrome to normalize blood sugar among other things and are having great success with it. IF also increases…

Heck I thought that was the only way to weigh yourself

I do IF - 2-3 days/week. I fast from dinner one night till dinner the next night. I eat 500 calories on my fasting days. My non fast days I eat up to 1600. I had hit a plateau with my weight loss for months at 1200 calories a day, while running 3-4 days/week and high intensity Zumba 2days/week. When I started with this IF…

WOW - you look fabulous

Look - change is hard. Tomorrow is another day. You are never going to be perfect. Also don't start with something that is too hard. Start with where you are. You will get there. If you start with things that are too hard right now, you will quit and go back to life as it was.
-
Yes - how did you do that in 10 days?

[quote= "I've gained 5 lbs this week, but I know not to worry because it's all muscle" [/quote] hahaha - I only WISH it was that easy to gain 5 lbs of muscle!

I'm on a diet as opposed to it's a lifestyle change. Diets don't work in the long run -

OMG - your eyes are beautiful! I didn't even notice them in the before pics, but they look huge in the after! Great job

Congratulations! You had a great time too, in spite of what you think. I completed my first (and probably only) marathon in January so I understand your feeling of accomplishment. I just had to mark it off my bucket list. Now I'm back to half marathons

I fast twice a week - usually Monday and Thursday, however if I get too small (lose too much) I have to back off to once a week. I keep my non fast day calorie intake below 2000 at least

Protein is needed for tissue healing. As a nurse in ICU, we monitored closely patient's levels and if their levels got low we supplemented quickly or patients didn't do well. I would watch macros closely, and eat accordingly

I love IF. It's the way my body responds the best. Also there are a ton of health benefits to IF that people either forget about or don't know. You look fabulous. Congrats
-
You look great! well, everything but the UNC stuff. Go Wolfpack!!!! ;-)
-
WOW - not only have you lost weight but it appears you have completely transformed your entire body. What a great example
-
If I binge one day I'll fast the next day, but then I do IF. If I binge on sweets though I'm STARVING the next day and can't get satisfied. I've determined sugar is addictive and evil. :/

WOW - just WOW!

If I was working out 2-4 hours a day I'd be tired too, and I'd likely stop at some point. Slow and steady wins this 'race' of healthy living and fitness. Back off to 1 hour a day with some of those being walking. As a runner, one think I've learn (and I might add the hard way) the rest days are just as important as the…

AMAZING!!!! Congratulations on your new life

I believe we are so accustomed to seeing (and being) people overweight that when someone is finally a healthy weight we think they look sick. Keep up being healthy. Work on building muscle if you aren't already. Eventually they will stop because THIS you will be normal to them. Congrats on your weight loss. It's a lot of…

don't eat back those calories. I wouldn't. And don't beat yourself up over slipping. WE all do it every once in a while.
