Yes it is for sure in my head! I'm trying to have a healthier relationship with food, I'm usually pretty good with self discipline but I'm having a really tough time the past week or so with the all-day cravings.

I eat foods that I like, but I find myself craving carbs all day and bingeing on macaroni and cheese from market district or the pastas at the italian food store, which I should not do every day and I am making an effort to eat more vegetables and clean foods. The salad was a good salad, it was from Run Fast Eat Slow and…

I bought a road bike last year. I already had a commuter but I wanted a road bike so that I could go out with the road bike club. It wasn't expensive for a road bike, but expensive for me (over $2000). I hardly use it because even though I do go faster on it than my other bike I still can't keep up with the D group ride…

Look up some poses you can do while getting your picture taken to make yourself look slimmer.

I've had the Galaxy Gear 2 and it was not good for tracking fitness or steps at all. I switched to the Garmin Forerunner 235.

I think youll be fine with just a week.

I don't like Old Navy personally. I think most of their clothes are huge. If OP is having trouble finding small clothes I'd suggest not to spend too much time there. I'm short but a little overweight and even I have trouble finding things there I don't swim in. Sometimes even the XS are too big.

...is this a troll? I can't imagine being with someone who would criticize my weight, let alone make comments about my intelligence.

Clothes sizes are so crazy, in some brands I can wear a size 8 dress, in some I need a 14, or anything in between. In skirts from places like the limited and new york and company I wear a 4, would like to get down to a 0 because I have a closet full of them...

Of course people CAN lose weight if they eat low fat, but I don't prefer that. I've switched to full-fat foods and I feel so much fuller for longer than when I was on the eat as many veggies and as much protein as you can train. Plus I think fats make food taste so much better, it's much easier for me to stick to a diet…

There are a lot of runners who do both. Yes having more mass generally slows you down, but having powerful muscles also makes you run faster - and not just your legs, it's also very important to have a strong core and strong arms help as well. Many runners I know strength train 2x per week, I aim for 3. I think it's…

I used to use fitbit zip, I used it for about 3 years and it was great to see how active (or inactive) I was. It was also fun to do challenges with friends. I have since switched to using a Garmin Forerunner 235 which tracks my heart rate as well as is a GPS for running or cycling or whatever I'm doing (I'm sure fitbit has…

If it happened to me I'd call the credit card company and see if I could dispute the original charge from April. I don't think it could hurt.

I can do 11 pushups! 10 was my goal and I hit it. Now I'm going for 15.

Ugh yeah, I hate when someone posts on facebook about how they lost weight and people ask "how did you do it?" or "what's your secret?" I guess how did you do it could just be asking about a specific routine, like I like to bicycle, but there is no secret!

I feel the same as this person. I don't want to exercise at the end of the day and I never do. I just have to get up earlier to do it. When I was in school I treated exercise like another meeting I had to go to.

My boyfriend says the same thing about how it's a piece of paper and doesn't change his feelings for me but he says if it is important to me to get married then we will. If it's important to one person and not the other that seems like the best solution. Would I still stay with him if we were never going to get married? I…

I think the fat acceptance movement means different things to different people. There are people who think it's OK to love themselves as they are at their current weight, but work toward bettering themselves. I don't think there's anything wrong with that and it's what I usually strive for. For example, when I go to yoga I…

But I always hear that if you're thirsty you're too late. And for example I could go all day sitting in the air conditioned office not feeling particularly thirsty and not drinking anything, then go for a jog in the hot evening sun and feel thirsty and dehydrated, so I'd have to drink something prior to going jogging - how…

I spend more on athletic wear than my regular clothes. I can't train effectively if I'm uncomfortable, chafing, have blisters, too hot, etc. I do get a lot of shirts from participating in running training programs at the running store here. I love getting Lululemon bottoms as they are very high quality and last a long…

What do you do if you take vitamins that make your pee darker? Do you just go by how thirsty you are?

All of those excuses, plus half the days I feel too tired to get up to go to my crossfit class in the morning. That's something I'm still working on.

I weigh daily. I don't like weekly because what if one week I weigh myself on a low fluctuation day, and the next week it's a high fluctuation day? It may look like I gained or didn't lose any weight and that is frustrating. But if I weigh daily I can track the progress and say, OK today is higher than yesterday, but it's…

I've been wondering this too. I use the TDEE method and usually pick the moderate exercise category (3-5 days per week of moderate exercise). However I have a desk job and on days I don't run or purposely go for a walk I'm usually around 3000 steps. I do crossfit 3x per week which are hour long to hour and fifteen minute…

I never know what to pick for my activity level. I usually pick the moderately active level with 3-5 days of exercise per week, but what counts? I don't exercise a full hour every day. A typical week for me is three crossfit classes (they are an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes long but I'm not constantly moving, there…

I wash my hair pretty much every day, unless it's a weekend and I have nothing going on and can just throw it up in a ponytail with a sweaty band. I tried the "no-poo" thing for three months and my hair never adjusted, it just kept making oil, plus after I worked out my head was stinky. So even if oil weren't an issue I'd…

I don't have a regular exercise volume, some days I do a lot and some days I do a bit and some days hardly any at all. But I prefer the TDEE method because when I was spending my time calculating how much I could eat based on how much I moved in a day, exercise did become about losing weight, and food became a reward for…

My brother and sister have type 1 diabetes and that was pretty much how it's worked for them. They eat what they want and then take the right amount of insulin to match up with the amount of carbs they eat. Of course I think the less insulin they have to take the better and eating too many sweets is unhealthy for everyone,…
