  • I'm getting up early and going for a little run in the morning.
  • I'm only 5'6.... I've lost a ton, and my thighs are still 23" (as of yesterday)!
  • Um if you lose .1lbs you are not in a plateau. stop freaking out over a 5lb loss. I think you should do some research on healthy weight loss and reassess.
  • amazing progress!! Hopefully you will love running!! I recently found out I loved it, and trained for my first half marathon for a few months - and then completed my first half on 11/10/12 -- and then did another on 12/9/12!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! :) good luck!!
  • I set fitness goals for myself when the scale isn't moving..... most recently , i ran my first and second half marathon in the past month.... :) Mostly, I just think about how good I feel vs how crappy i used to feel, and I know I can indulge occasionally but I'll never go back to the way I used to be.
  • Your body is ALWAYS adjusting to what you do to it - our bodies strive for equilibrium. it's not surprising that what you've been doing is no longer working. 50lbs in what, like 6 months, is very fast progress, and now that you only have a little bit left to lose, you're going to have to WORK harder. slim fast shakes are…
  • strength train - NOW. I see people asking this question all the time and I'm still baffled as to where the idea of waiting to strength train til later came from. it makes NO sense!! strength train 3 days a week, cardio 3-5 days a week. when doing strength & cardio, do strength first then cardio!
  • Yea, except like someone else said, as soon as you go back to normal food - you're going to lose weight..... so to the person trying to get that last 7lbs off - you're wasting your time with this. it'll come back and then some.... just do it right, eat well rounded. Your body needs protein and there's very limited protein…
  • when I first first started I did a lot of walking & used the stationary bikes a lot at my gym..... within a few months I got into strength training and kcikboxing..... Now I do kickboxing, strength training, running, stair climber, ellipticals of all sorts, circuit training/hiit, pitaiyo (blend of pilates, tai chi,…
  • I eat relatively clean.... I mean not perfect, but it works for me...... a sample day: Breakfast: I will not give up greek yogurt or protein powder. :) 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder 1/8 -1/4 cup raw almonds cinnamon AM Snack: hard boiled egg clementine lunch: protein (couple hard boiled eggs,…
  • you SHOULD eat a majority of your calories during the day -- i.e. breakfast and lunch should be the largest meals of your day - since you're active then..... if you're not eating much during the day and you get ravenous at night, that's why. I have a fairly large snack at night, but usually it's healthy fats, low carb…
  • fiber & protein numbers on here are more like minimums. going over is something you SHOULD do! Exercise. a pedometer is NOT an hrm. I would cound your actual exercise time.
  • great progress!! I'd rather have the hanging skin than be fat every day (And I'm dealing with that whole issue too!) :)
  • chances are you aren't eating as well as you think - or you aren't eating enough - but because your diary is private we can't see it.... if you're doing the same kind of exercise day in and day out, you should change it up. are you doing strength training? if you're not you should be. also, the ultimate measure is NOT the…
  • all different kinds of squats and lunges..... and kettlebell swings.... have given me a butt!
  • I drink around 20 cups of water a day..... I get up to pee once during the night.....
  • sadly, I naturally wake up between 530-630am, on a daily basis, and trust me I NEVER actually need to be up that early. Just happens that way, since I made my lifestyle change almost two years ago.... and it's impossible for me to take naps, unless I'm really sick. boo.
  • haha. this. And fyi, I have had great success in my weight loss, and I do sometimes (not always, just depends on the day) eat back my exercise calories.
  • woah. 15g of fat is not nearly enough. Up your intake of healthy fats..... good sources of healthy fats include: nuts & nut butters avocado olive oil/coconut oil
  • strength before cardio. always.
  • gainers are for bulking.... protein powders are NOT. get one low in fat, low in carbs - high in protein, and you'll be fine. I use protein powder pretty much every day. From your picture, looks like you're a female, you're not going to 'bulk' up. Someone else said it - it's just protein. It's like eating extra chicken.…
  • regular bra under a sports bra. works great for me, and I'm d cup and run. alot. Two sports bras dont work because theres NO support to begin with..... need the regular supportive underwire, then put a sports bra OVER it! I've been doing this for a LONG time and will continue to do so forever! ;)
  • the reason that you're hungry is because you're starving your body. This will not end well. eat properly - feed your body - high protein, high fiber, 1800-2000 calories a day. work out. why starve yourself...... I eat 1600-2000 calories a day (depending on the day) and never feel hungry.
  • 20-30g of protein within 30-60minutes of getting up.
  • I use unsweetened coconut milk.... then again, I don't drink it plain.... I just use it in protein shakes, and baking.
  • I love your post!! white, 5'6'', 187, waivering between a size 10-12.
  • My fiance likes them.... I figure it's better for him to eat than a candy bar, since he's not fully on the 'healthy' bandwagon like me..... I don't eat them, but I have absolutely no problem meeting my fiber goals.... I eat nuts, veggies, and some fruits.
  • I will be cheating Sunday afternoon (Christmas Eve Eve) when we visit my family..... and Christmas Day when we visit my fiance's family. Now, I will be working out on Christmas Eve Eve, Christmas Eve, and may even work out on Christmas Day (Not entirely sure on that one yet) -- BUT I typically don't cheat a whole day....…
  • so 1 litre is 4.22 cups - I drink 4-5litres a day (15-20 cups) -- works great for me. but 15 litres in one day? I couldn't do it, and I do run. and I see people at the gym carrying gallon jugs of water around ALL the time - and it's always the ones who look amazing & buff! soo there must be something to it.
