Thank you for the responses!! I did Whole 30 in November and I think I'm going to start another one on Monday. I have another MPFer that going to do it with me to help with accountability.

I would love to join! Let me know if I made the cut.

Thank you!

Is eplife something local to you or is it nationwide?

Thank you for your story! You look fabulous!! I too, am a slow loser. It's taken me 21 months to lose 50 pounds and I still have 40 more to lose. I accept this is me and my loss. Again Great job! PS. I dream of doing the Disney Princess as well!

heh. I'm mostly about personal responsiblility but I do believe weight loss/healthy eating information should be clarified. I'm more likely to "blame" the doctors and government than the pharmaceutical companies. They are corporations and they do what corporations do, make money. Doctors should be required to take…

I don't disagree with you. However, I also think there is way too much misinformation about weight loss. I know when I eat the low fat, high carb diet (high whole grain) diet that is so "heart healthy" I am starving!! My craving for sweets are stronger than any desire to change could be. And then I feel like a failure and…

I bought mine a Sam's club.

Hmm.. I wonder. When we moved into our house 4 years ago, due to a streetlight, our bedroom was too bright for me. I learned to sleep with a sleep mask ($40.00 from Brookstone). Ever since I was gotten fablous sleep. My husband often complains of not getting good sleep maybe it's time to black out the whole room.

That is brillant! I never thought of that. My homemade mayo is one room tempurature egg mixed with 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup of light olive oil, I tsp of mustard, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of onion powder, and 3/4 tsp of salt. Mix together, then drizzle an additional 1 cup of light olive oil into…

Stop lifting it to your mouth. The sooner you accept you are in control of your actions the easier it will be to resist. I had this problem with my husband . I cleared the top shelf on the pantry and stored the junk there. Then I took responsiblity for my actions. My husband was not lifting the junk to my mouth, I was. The…

Thank you, I glanced through a page or 2 but didn't read all 7. You really are inspiring. One of my New years resolution is to start a strength program.
-
You look amazing!!! Which do you prefer NROL4W or stronglifts?

Honestly, I pulled up my big girl panties and drank it black. For 3 weeks it sucked, and then coffee started tasting good again. I do like the favored coffees more now. (I don't know if they are paleo or not but ignorance is bliss.)

It depends on the person. Myself if I'm strict paleo, I don't need to count calories. I eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. But if you add any sugar, fake sugar or grains, I need to count calories. When I'm non-paleo, my hunger cues lie. LOL Others will tell you they have to count calories no matter what. Play with…

For me they are a yay. They are not a trigger food for me. I can count out 20 to 25, or grab a small handiful. They tend to be a great snack (healthy fat and protien). But I could see how they could easily be a nay if you overdo it. The portion control packets sound like a great idea.

If I don't have leftovers, I go to 2 packs of water packed tuna mixed with a whole avocado. I usually will have a pepper, salad, or some sort of veggie.

Oats are not paleo. But what I have learned is you have to find what works for you and do it. So if oats work for you, go for it. For me foods with higher carbs like oats put my weight loss at a stand still and craving come back like crazy.
-
The best advice is what I told my husband. Just do it. It sucks for about 3 weeks. Then all of the sudden coffee starts tasting good again. I really like hazelnut coffee and light to medium roast now without sugar.

Awesome results!

Hmm is it crunchy? I do the cauliflower pizza crust and love it, but it it's more of a knife and fork pizza.
-
Thank you for asking the question and for the suggestions. I'm going to look into some of these.

I don't weight train as much as I need to but when I do, I do 2 packages of low sodium tuna or salmon mixed with a mashed avocado. 34 grams of protien with healthy fats and carbs. Not as convenant as a shake but pretty tasty.

When making decisions, I try to think which decision the future me will appreciate more! I also have learned my triggers. I cannot eat sweets~ paleo or otherwise~ without craving junk the rest of the day. So if I choose to indulge, I do it at the end of the day and go to bed. Another thing if my motivation is no where to…

IMHO, bite the bullet and drink it black. It's nasty at first, in 3 weeks you'll start to enjoy your black coffee.

My husband loves ice cream and nightly he makes a simple sorbet as a treat. It's a ripe banana, frozen berries (his favorite strawberries) and about a 1/2 cup of juice. Put it in the magic bullet and mix. I have to say it does hit the ice cream spot.

Let's start with what you should have: Lots of veggies Lots of Fruits Grass fed beef/pork/chicken Seafood Nuts/seeds LOTS OF HEALTHY FAT (don't be fat phobic) BACON (because we can!) No sugar (for me, this is the hardes but most important) No grains (including "healthy" whole grains) No diary (primal allows it but if you…

I would recommend getting your vitamin D levels tested. I live in the Midwest. And even in the summer (and I was running outside w/o sunscreen 4 times a week) mine are really low. It's hard to know the dose without knowing where your blood levels are.

Every morning! I'm convinced it keeps the hunger at bay.
