"If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down."

I hate water - it makes me feel sick to drink it. I keep a glass by the sink and I drink 2 glasses first thing, lunch time, tea time and before bed (roughly) so I can space them out and make sure I get them in. It's the only way I can do it. I'm not sure about the benefits - which is why I came to read this! I have noticed…

Thanks! I've done it all with WW and I don't think I could have without. I got the info from a friend, so it really didn't cost me much to follow the plan so it's all good. As you say, it's about finding what works for you and thankfully, I've found that WW is working for me. I'm glad MFP is working for you and well done…

I have a pair of spanx that are just high waisted. They stop just below my bra and don't have any legs bits. I find that these are good and don't push the fat out elsewhere like other garments I've tried. Also, I bought them before I started losing weight. I'm 65lbs and 4 dress sizes down and they're still doing their job,…

I'm not going to comment on your nutrition because I don't feel I'm qualified on that front but I will say that I have found that the more I diet, the more my body gets used to it and the harder it becomes. I tried Slimming World several years ago when I hadn't really dieted at all and managed to lose and keep off 14lbs in…

I think people lose from here at different points. They tend to be the first or the last thing to go. I think if it's mostly natural size (i.e. you've always been that size, even at a different weight) you seem to lose it last when the weight has gone from everywhere else. I know that some of my size is natural (it runs in…

I do Weight Watchers and they say that you can save 4 points per day as long as you eat them within that week. So I have 4 points less per day and eat them on a Saturday right after I've weighed in. That way I can have a day out and eat at a resteraunt, have some ice cream and stay on track. Or if I'm home I'll get some…

I'll be at the inlaws' house, where they have no idea what dieting is. I'll probably attempt to be good at theirs other than christmas day and boxing day and just make sure to eat in moderation, stop when full etc. I have to say, I'm so jealous of black friday....I wish we had that in the UK.

I often end up having the same trains of thought as you. More along the lines of will he like me better/worse when I lose weight. But I don't act on it because I know that it's how my head is working. I just tell myself this and try to forget about it. If I worry that he isn't going to be attracted to me or wasn't before,…

Thanks to everyone for your lovely comments xox

Thanks. This post made me smile. I don't think anything of mine has ever been described as teeny-tiny, except maybe my self esteem!

The confidence thing is definitely the biggest part for me. I'm starting to become more confident and I can't wait until it grows even more! Thanks.

Good luck! If I can do it, anyone can!

Thanks for the repost tross!

Birth control pills can make you gain weight but ONLY because they increase your appetite or cravings for 'bad' things. If you stick to your calorie goal, you'll be fine.

I don't think it matters too much about your body shape...your body will do whatever it wants to do. I hold most of my weight on my stomach and yet the place I have lost most is my top half. I am a UK size 20 on the bottom, but a 14/16 on the top. At least you look better and more in proportion while you are losing. I'm…

I think it may be less to do with the time spent on the Wii and being picky and more to do with your family's feelings towards the fact that you are about to lose weight. A lot of people, particularly partners can be unsupportive or sabotage diets because they are scared of what it will mean for them. It might be that they…

Well done!!

I totally agree with the above. It's probably water weight from the extra sodium etc and natural fluctuations. I'm sure it will go down in a few days.

Thanks everyone for your great replies. It seems I have something to look forward to! I do love wedges but never find any that I like. I also have wide feet so I have trouble finding shoes that fit. I always get them rubbing on my ankle too! I know heels are bad for you, but I mostly wear flats or no shoes around the house…

Yea, I'm trying to wean myself on to them! I've started wearing my heels where I know I'm not going to have to do too much walking and I have a pair of knee high boots with thick heels that I can wear for a while without them killing me. They're still painful at this point, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to wear proper…

I know what you mean! I worry about even trying a stilletto on because it'd probably snap after 5 minutes! Something for me to look forward to too!

Life is for living...wedding's don't happen every day and it is a way of life now, you can't be afraid to go off track every now and then. Getting back on track is the important part and you sound ready for that xox

I love that you're eating a burger in your picture! Well done on the loss!
-
I know what you mean, but in a different way. I got over weight not by eating too much, or eating everything in sight, I mostly became over weight by eating the wrong things. I often ate much less than my very thin boyfriend, but I ate all the wrong things and didn't have the metabolism he does! I hate the stereotype that…

The healthy way would be to add lots of fruits and vegetables, which have calories but very little fat. The less healthy way would be to eat things like fruit gums, which are high in calories but low in fat. Depends what your sugar intake is like too if you're counting that.

Wow, good lookin' guy, well done!

Wow, lookin' good. Love the first pic too - I want that in my garden!

It's really all a question of what works for you and keeps you most motivated. I know people on here who weigh in every day. I used to be like that and found I got disheartened when I went up and down, or didn't go down by much so I now weigh in once a week and find that this works well. I, personally, think it's better…
