I am not a professional, but.....I would say no, only because there is a ton of jumping around in it which could be really rough on your joints. You could probably modify all the moves, but I would sugest starting out with something a little more low impact, and once you drop some weight/get in a little better shape then…

(I dont know anything about slimfast shakes or how to make them...) but if you're wanting to cut calories, I would suggest not using ice cream at all. Can you just use skim milk or non-fat vanilla/plain yogurt?

I teach spinning so that was my cross training, I also did yoga once a week and did some light weight training on my short run days.

Spinning is an awesome workout. I've been taking classes for years, and just recently started teaching it. I teach 3 classes a week and have seen HUGE changes in my body since I've been doing it.. it does amazing things for the legs!!! :love: :drinker:

I had some candy AND a piece of Cheesecake. :love: it was awesome. (the cheesecake was my reward for working so hard the last month..!! One of the guys that I work with and I had a deal that if we worked out hard all month, he was going to have a piece of pie w/ ice cream and I was going to have cheesecake at our Halloween…

thats how my class is, I only have 9 bikes, so I have to turn people away, and I HATE that. I'm told that they got me 10 more bike, but I havent seen them yet.....

I've been on Depo for a little over a year. when my doc told me all about the possibility of weight gain, I basically said 'I'll be damned it I gain weight b/c of meds' and I've lost (and kept off) about 20 pounds since I started it. you just have to be extra careful!

Spinning is a total leg workout (obviously..) I always walk out of a class with my legs SHAKING! at one gym that I used to take it at, it was on the second floor, and it was always a challenge walking down the stairs after the class. It has really helped tone up my thighs, which I :heart:

I've been taking spin classes for a couple years, and have recently started teaching them. I love spinning, it's an AWESOME workout and super Fun!!! (and you do get used to the seats!) :flowerforyou:

Like everyone said it depends on temp and distance for me... I HATE running with anything in my hands, so unless it's really hot outside or I'm running over an hour, I wont bring it, I just make sure I'm hydrated before hand, and drink up after the run.

Hey guys, I havent been around in a while... it's been pretty busy over here and I havent had much computer time. But I have been working out!! Just today I hit 300 miles that I've run so far this year!! Only 200 more and I reach my goal! woohoo! :smile:

How did I miss this thread?? I did my first tri last November, since then I've done 5 !! I did a sprint last weekend, and I have one more (an olympic distance) coming up next month! unfortunatly I'm leaving Hawaii the end of August, so I dont know when I'll be doing another one :grumble: :flowerforyou:
