In the South, we boil it or steam it, and add a little butter with flavorless protein powder. Or fry it (without any flour or cornmeal) to keep carbs at a minimal, and lightly season with salt and flavorless protein powder.

I love OKRA anyway it's cooked.... fried, boiled and slimy, in stew. But my husband will not eat it boiled. So I started steaming it in a small amount of water spread out in a large frying pan.
