We are cooking at home and he said sorry. This is in no way a rare thing in our house! My husband loves to take me out to eat!!! I'm better now, we may go out tomorrow after our workout

I try not to drink water at least 45 mins before I go to the gym. I do sip small amounts to keep my mouth wet during workouts though. I also head to the restroom right before I workout, even if I don't feel like I have to go. I like to spend about 2 hours at the gym when I go, and taking a bathroom break really annoys me…

Well, I did my yoga today like I normally do on rest days. OMG I had to modify the pose from downward dog to cobra, and just stay at downward dog. So I don't really feel like I got a great workout today :frown: My arms are KILLING me from the gym and I just couldn't hack it today! I do have a video that is just 20 mins of…

OMG, everyone, I don't think I can do any upper body weights when we head to the gym tomorrow! Well, maybe anything that involves triceps! As I said before I worked triceps sunday. Well monday's and thursdays I do yoga at home. I did it today but had to extreamely modify one of the moves, I can not even hold myself in a…

Yeah choco, I think I am going to watch the salt these next few days. I don't feel bloated, but I don't want to let myself down when I do get on the scale  Well, today is a "rest" day and I'm going to do some yoga. I really don't feel like it, but I know my body will feel less sore. Tomorrow we go to the gym and I'm…

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Worked out at the gym for an hour and a half What would I have done differently? Pushed myself a little harder on the stair stepper and worked abs more What is today's personal goals? Work…

 My husband can eat what ever he wants and not gain anything! My first 5-7 days were awful! He ate pork chops, steak, ice cream, chips, beer, soda... you name it! I feel your pain. Mine is public also.

Way to go with sticking to it! I've been on here for 11days and the first 7 were very hard with temptation for me. It does get better. I live with a crazy man (my husband) who eats like a horse!!! Let me tell you, when he would start to cook I'd glare at him as I was eatting my salad!!! I wanted to kill him the first 3…

I know eventually I'll be able to lift more weight, but for now it was all I could do to just lift the 10 lbs on sunday. I did do 30 on one tricep pully thing. Yes, sunday was tricep day. I look forward to seeing how long it will take me to adapt to lift more than 10 lbs.

Not looking to gain mass at all! I just want to be toned and I know working muscles will help me in the long run with weight management. Last year when I was in shape I did talk to a personal trainer for a while and he said maybe 30 mins of cardio at a gym would be good for me, but I should build my muscles also. I'm…

So I'm not a complicated person  I don't like putting pills of any form into my body, except my multi vitamin and sometimes I'll take a headache pill, but it has to be bad! I'm not the person who is going to go to the local GNC and buy protien anything! I currently am over on protein everyday any way. Right after a…

I wasn't really going for something I put into my body to "cure" soreness. But thanks everyone for your input. ShBoss, I think you are right. As long as I CAN do it, I should. My husband says after I rest one muscle group for 1-2 days I should be good to go to push it again. I'm not going to have a hard time with my legs,…

I do yoga twice a week on my rest days  It really stretches me out and helps with my back and muscle soreness! I just do it at home and follow "The Firm" yoga DVD. Kookla, is this going to be a yoga group thingy where we check in? That would be cool. I'm always trying to find new videos to do at home as well!

 I do! I always like to get ideas of what other people are eatting for new ideas

Hello hello hello  I didn't check in yesterday and was just catching up on everyone's posts. Sorry vrdz for your day starting out so awful. CHOCO- HAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY WISHES :drinker: That's great you were able to go out to eat! Well, yesterday and today have both been amazing workouts for me! I really…

Mine is  I have no reason to hide what I'm eatting.

I do yoga twice a week at home. I use the Firm DVD Power Yoga. I don't know if I would think of it as power yoga though. I've done some and this seems like hartha to me. I get really really sore at the gym and this really relaxes my muscles and helps my upper back pain. I don't use it for stress or anything like that, I…

That is so awesome  Great work

Thanks for the info and reminder. Makes me feel better about not dropping all 20 lbs in a week  Really when I first started out I ate under 1200 calories a day, yeah, that lasted about 2 days! I got moody, tired, and was starving! Now that I'm eatting the full 1200 pluss 1/2-3/4 of my exercise calories aday, I'm…

I'm a beef jerky junkie  and will not be giving it up anytime soon. I'm pretty picky when it comes to taste and I just looked at the back of Jack Link's pepper jerky (only one I buy): Calories 80 Fat 1g (saturated 0g) (trans 0g) Cholesterol 25mg Sodium 600mg Carbs 4g (fiber 0g) (sugars 3g) Protein 15g Iron 6% I…

I do, yesterday at dinner I was not hungry at all, but forced myself to eat 180 more calories. If I don't I end up eatting late and waking up in the middle of the night hungry. I do think everyone is different though.

I think personal trainer's who have struggled in the past with weight goals make the best  Best of wishes to you and next time I'm racking my head against the wall trying to figure something out, I just may ask you!

I don't want this to come off the wrong way, or upset you, but 674 calories in one day is an ED. Maybe you were even eatting less than that before (I don't know you) but maybe you should talk to a doctor.

Mine is BOOZE!!! I love wine and irish whiskey!!! Not only does it have calories, but it makes it very sucky the next day to work out! I'll have a few glasses of wine during the week (8 ounces, and I measure it) but the weekends are hard! I just have to remind myself I'm making a change for the better

I was having this issue with meat, and I plan on getting a scale on payday  A member on MFP gave me the info below and it's helping for now. Thought I'd pass it on. Scales range from $20-$30 from what I've seen. The look of normal portion sizes: 1 oz. meat: size of a matchbox 3 oz. meat: size of a deck of cards or…

vrdz, best of wishes on your weigh in on Friday. I also have bloating alot. I think because of my sodium intake  Oh and fiber. Well, today I'm sore from head to toe!!! Today is my 7th day of working out in a row :drinker: I just did some much needed yoga this morning, I really needed to stretch my body out. I did…

Hello and welcome Lisl  This is a great site for support. Sorry I can't help you with your questions, I currently just do yoga at home and go to the gym. But I'm sure you'll find the answers you are looking for. Well, I went to the gym today  I need to stay away from the evil scale!!! I just can't help it,…

Yeah, probably is mostly because I had a few drinks this weekend. It's kinda hard in my house, that's what we do on the weekend, hang out eat and drink  I think I did pretty well considering all the "crap" that was being consumed around me (such as yummie chips and dip right in front of me) I'll wait to weigh again…

Well, we had some drinks last night and I went over my calories  We went to the gym today as planned, hangover and all. I just walked the treadmill and biked, I don't feel like it was a real workout, so I'm counting it as a "rest" day and I'm going to hit the gym hard tomorrow morning  I feel like I've gained…

You're a trooper, no way would I try to work out when I'm still alittle under the weather, way to go!
