If you're losing weight at 1000 calories and continue to lose, there's no reason to worry. 1200 calories is not written in stone anywhere; some people need to consume less calories to function than others. I think you should keep doing what you're doing- it's seems to be working. Congratulations on your weight loss!

2 carbs! Well, this would definitely fit into an Atkins "copycat" recipe. I couldn't call mine a copycat, since I wasn't able to recreate the nutritional value. How does it taste. Have you tried it?

I tend to eat the same meals all week long. Here's mine from last week: Breakfast- poached egg on Canadian bacon, coffee Lunch- hamburger with jalapeno jack cheese After work Snack- meat and cheese, stuffed hot cherry peppers, sweet & sour cucumbers, vodka & soda (it's been a long day) Dinner- Garlic Parmesan Chicken,…

I agree with the above poster. I would try to avoid bread substitutes for the first month, especially if they seem to be negating your weight loss. Are you allowed to have egg replacer? With an egg allergy, I assume you are familiar with the powder that you can use to replace eggs in recipes. If not, you can find it in…

If you have a Pinterest acct then Atkins has it's own board: http://pinterest.com/atkinsinsider/. The recipe board is a group board, meaning any of their followers can pin to it. Most of the recipes are from "I Breathe...I'm Hungry" or "Your Lighter Side"s blogs. I use both of those blogs for recipes almost exclusively;…

i'm trying to limit my consumption to the wekends. i'm a wino. i have no problem putting away a bottle a night, and at 1000 cals a bottle, that can't be helpful to my weight loss goals. it's tough though.

For the crockpot chicken (the very first recipe), I use no liquid. I make a "sling" out of a long piece of tinfoil and set the bird on it. I cut a lemon in half and put it cut side down in the crockpot. Then I put my chicken (in the sling) on top of the lemon so it doesn't touch the bottom of the crock. I cook it on high…

I've been doing P90X as well. I'm 30 days in. I haven't seen any real drastic weight loss (3 pounds), but I'm hoping if I can gain some muscle and toning, the little I do lose looks like more.

Fantastic job! You look incredible. All those inches you lost, especially those around your middle, have added years to your life.

You look wonderful! Great job!

I bookmarked this site; thank you!

@ marie- nice ride!!

I haven't eaten a pop tart since I actually looked at the nutritional info. It's 400 calories for 2 pop tarts! They trick you by making one pop tart a serving size- that's open up a package, take one piece out and save the other one for tomorrow. Sneaky *kitten*. Pop tarts are delicious, but I can think of so many more…

I have heard Trader Joe's has some gluten free brown rice tortillas, but I've never tried them. They have to be better than corn though. I agree, corn tortillas are awful.

I made a pizza for dinner tonight, and have leftovers!

Florida here! Though, I'm not especially "southern".

You look fantastic! You must be so proud!

You're right OP, it's none of your business. Just concern yourself with you and make friends with people who share your own weight loss goals. This is a big site with room for everyone.

Thanks for the tip!

Blue Moon and Sam Adams Summer Ale are my favorites too! When I lived in Cleveland OH there was a beer called "Christmas Ale" made by Great Lakes Brewing Company. I used to buy it by the case.

After you post here, go to your profile and hold your cursor over the notification that you just posted. A "remove" button should appear. You can remove the notification that way. I don't think there's any other way one of your non-VLCD friends would know that you posted. I know it doesn't show up in your "Recent Forum…

I do the 500 calorie/1500 calorie cycling quite often. On my lower calorie days I also do a 18 hour fast, not eating my 500 until later in the day. It does help jolt your body back into losing weight.
-
You could also try alternating a high calorie and low calorie day; say, netting 500 then 1500. At the end of the week you'll average 1000, but it might help to kick start your weight loss again.

Hi All! Check in day; I didn't lose anything this week. I'm pretty bummed because I thought I would lose at least a pound or two. I stuck to my plan. I worked out every day M-F, and stayed within my calorie goals, even on the weekend. I went out to eat on Saturday, and then out drinking with friends, and still managed to…

Betsy, I use On Demand all the time! I love it because they're constantly changing the programs, and I get bored easily.

Hi Everyone! Last week- 168.5 This week- 164.5 That means not only did I lose the lbs I put on during my vacation, but I's down a 1/2 pound from my starting weight. Woo-Hoo! I started a combo of IF and up day/down day on Monday; they just naturally seem to go together. I'll never make it to 155 by 5/30, but hopefully…

I noticed that everything was gone; I thought it was just a glitch. I added my info back in.
