Definitely ending with a WOW

Wow! Looking great.

I lost 50Kg and had a lot of excess skin. Having tried exercise, sit ups etc to no avail I went to the docs. He advised the only solution would be to have an Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). Sometimes, it doesn't matter how much you do, if you've been overweight for a long time the only option is to have it surgically removed.…

After I got too my goal weight I treated myself to a trip to Las Vegas.

Your before and after photo looks amazing. Almost 2 different people!

Wow, you look amazing

Wow. That is incredible. Amazing. If anyone needs any inspiration just look at your before and after photos! Craig

I've lost about 8.5 stones and as the weather is starting to get a little colder I've really noticed the cold like never before. I can't explain why but I'm freezing cold all the time and have to have the heating on just to stay warm. I think there must be something in the fact that with the extra fat there was extra…

Wow that is impressive. A total change. Craig

I've been reading the posts and there is a theme running through most of them. People always have plenty to say don't they? It's funny because in the past I've lost weight, put it back on and repeated the process. People haven't really commented although I've had a few friends tell me in a jokey way that I've been putting…

That's brilliant. I remember when I passed that point in my journey, it was such a buzz. It won't be long before you'll be telling us all about the next milestone. Well done! Craig

Welcome to the site. I've found this site a great resource for keeping my spirits up. Get into the habit of recording your weight, food and exercise somewhere. MFP is a great place to do it. I also have a website with my progress on www.aroundthewaist.co.uk if you want to see my journey! Hope you get where you're going.…

Don't let one rise put you off. I get weighed every morning at the same time and I record it on a little spreadsheet. Even though you get ups and downs if you put it into a graph you'll soon notice the trend moving in a downward direction. I go one step further and post all my graphs on my website…

Wow. Great progress. Well Done.

I'm not sure what the official line is supposed to be, but I've had the same problem. Quite often I would realise that I'd not actually eaten for hours and I wasn't actually hungry. I've done ok and I just ate when I was hungry, although I always made a point of having breakfast in the morning as routine. If you're doing a…

Thanks to everyone for the positive comments. It's a real boost reading them all.

What people are saying is right. You're probably eating too few calories. I've found the more I eat (within reason obviously) and the more I exercise to compensate the more weight I loose. Best of luck!

I gave all mine to charity and as soon as something got even slightly too big it went the distance! The only downside to loosing loads of weight is the cost of replacement clothes, but it's a price worth paying.

Wow that's great. I love photo montages like that where you can see the weight loss progress. A great inspiration to everyone,

You raise a very good point and I'll share with you my experience. Like you I was always overweight as a child and into my adult life I just grew bigger. At my peak I was 20 stones. Over the last 3 years I've slowly lost the weight and am now down to 12 stones 4 with only a few pounds left to go before I hit my all time…

You're right. I went on holiday for a week recently and stuck to my eating plan very well. I also hired a bike with trailer for the kids. After a full week I hadn't lost an ounce, but I gained muscle. You'll probably notice you're loosing inches rather than weight on the scales.

Best of luck DJ. The golden rule to success (for me anyway) is to shout about what you're doing. Tell everyone you're doing it, blog your results. The support you'll get will carry you through and you won't want to fall off the wagon with loads of people following your progress, Good luck!

I know exactly how you feel and what you mean. Sometimes though these negative comments can actually become your point of strength to carry on, almost your way of sticking two fingers up at them and loosing the weight. I've lost a fair bit of weight over a 3 year period, so you're right about it not coming off over night.…

This is a great thread. All the successes are so inspiring. Here's just a couple of me. Not the best photos and I don't know what pose I'm doing in the June 2010 photo, but it's the most recent picture of me and I quite like my shape on that one. [/url]

Wow! That's great.

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. It's nice to get a positive response when you have a success. My inspiration for putting the pictures up was seeing some of the brilliant before and after pictures of other people on the site. For those who have asked me, 7 stones in other units is approx 98lbs or 44Kg

Just incase you're wondering why I'm showing a weight loss of 16Kg, it's because I back dated my loss to the start of my latest weight loss programme. If I put it back to 2007 it would be much higher but I'm concentrating on the now.

The first thing I noticed was the amount of similar people that are on here. It looks like I'm going to enjoy reading this site.
