  • Ok, I did this today and liked it. Well, it was horrible but in a good way. I could tell it was working but I'm ashamed to say I cannot do the bicycle crunches, yes I'm that uncoordinated. I'm also ashamed that there are no other guys in this thread :)
  • I tend to like dramatic music when I workout (or just in general). Evanescence, Flyleaf, We are the Fallen, etc.
  • I love gadgets so this is right up my alley but I'm dubious. I know enough about electronics and programming to suspect it can't possibly be as accurate as it is portrayed to be. I can't even tell if it is really monitoring heart rate or estimating it based on accelerometer data. My fear is that it would be wildly…
  • I too am trying to adopt a vegan lifestyle and it has set me back a bit since I had a fairly effective diet for maintaining my weight and I find I eat a lot more carbs when eating a vegan diet. I do well on a diet that consists of a lot of protein so that has also been a problem since one can only eat so much soy. I'm…
  • Depends on how many people the recipe is intended to serve. I use it a lot for as a shortcut for adding multiple foods that are normally eaten at the same time but aren't necessarily what you'd normally consider a recipe, so it can be useful to have it be a single serving sometimes.
  • Hi, my name is Mark. I'm 5'8", 142 lbs and 42 years old. I came to MFP through the Fitbit web site. I've since lost my fitbit but I still use MFP. I'm in good shape now though I'm always trying to be more physically fit. There is more information about me on my profile and I'm active on other sites and even have a POF…

  • I like Ronzoni Healthy Harvest, my son says he even prefers it to ordinary semolina. I'm going to try Shirataki noodles this weekend but I can't say if I'll like them.
  • Thanks, good information. I'll see if my local Asian market has any in stock.
  • this, exactly this ^^
  • Yes, it is a myth. There is some truth to it, probably why it persists, but for the most part it isn't something you'll ever need to worry about. That is why I've been asking for some sort of authoritative resource for MFP members. So many of them will just take what others say as the truth and it is hard to combat this…
  • This looks great but waay too many calories for one serving. Especially since I'd consider it a side. I guess if this were the main course it would be okay. Still, I'm thinking there are probably some easy ways to lower the calories in the dish. Thanks for posting it. Okay, maybe the serving size is just too large. I wish…
  • Yes, I purposely always eat under if at all possible since I know as a human I'm likely to underestimate what I eat and overestimate my exercise. Not consciously, but still. This is primarily the cause for the complaints on this site about eating very few calories and still not losing weight.
  • FT80 and I love it but I don't care much for polarpersonaltrainer.com If you're considering an FT60 the FT80 is just a bit more but you don't have to buy the flowlink since it is included. At first I thought I'd have trouble reading the display but now I actually like it.
  • I often use ripe avocado in place of mayonnaise.

  • If you go with the non-bluetooth variety I would suggest the Sony headphones below. I also have small ears and find earbuds fall out easily. I've bought these Sony earbuds because they seem to hold up to a lot of use but I modify them slightly by permanently attaching the foam buds. I do this by going around the pad with…
  • I've been using these and they've been great. Plantronics BackBeat 903+ Headset http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00428N9OK/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
  • If you can find it I use Ancient Harvest Quinoa Flakes and add it to some steel cut Oats (I use McCann's). I find this makes for a great texture and the flavor is very good. I like Quinoa okay by itself okay but I'm not crazy about it. I've experimented with various combinations and usually about 2/3 oats to 1/3 Quinoa…
  • Thanks, Yeah, as for titles I just wanted to make it quicker to enter. But I guess I could break them down into multiple exercises. Though, now that I look at it the Strength training exercises on MFP don't allow for direct input of calories so I can't create a generic workout like "Back and Triceps" and just enter…
  • I'd call Polar, if they can't figure out what is wrong with it you might could get it fixed if it is still covered under warranty. They have a good reputation for handling these matters. In fact, I'd try calling them even if it is no longer under warranty. I just got an FT 80 and I like it a lot though I kind of hate…
  • I don' t know I've been trying stevia in plain Fage 0% with fresh fruit and I have to say I found it made the yogurt bitter. I'm not sure if maybe I'm doing something wrong. Also, this was powder stevia not liquid.
  • I just received the chocolate peanut butter bars from the all natural line and though I think they cost too much I can't complain about any other aspect of the bar. Very few ingredients, most of them things you can read and understand, and they actually taste good. I wish all food were this high in quality. I especially…
  • Wow, a lot of great ideas for plain yogurt mix-ins. I'm seriously going to try them all, though I've already tried a few.
  • That is really good for a fat free Greek yogurt with fruit in it. I'll check that out.
  • @issyfit: I don't know. http://www.questproteinbar.com/ingredients/#stevia
  • I just had a Quest bar from the all natural line and it contains Stevia.
  • qtiekiki: About average really, no more or less than what I've seen in other brands. I think it might just be the fruit filling they use. It would be great (and I may suggest ) of one of these Greek yogurt makers that they sweeten that fruit filling in the yogurt with stevia instead of sugar. That would probably be all…
  • I've noticed that too. Not sure what is going on there. 18-21 is generally the range I see if it has fruit in it. If it is plain, like the Fage 0%, then it can get down a bit lower.
  • Nope, no Tesco here. Nice idea with the no sugar added jam. I think I'll try that. Still looking for Stevia drops to try too.
  • I eventually went with a Polar FT80. There were a lot of critical reviews but apparently they have worked out the bugs in the newly manufactured units. I will post a review here after I've used it for a while. It hasn't even shipped yet. I was going to go with the FT60 but you must purchase the upload add-on separately for…
  • jreed1920, Where do you get the flavored stevia?
