  • You betcha! Breakfast is my favorite! I hit about 500 cals at breakfast, 400 at lunch, and about 350 at dinner (which I eat around 6pm). The rest of my 1470 cals is dispersed through the day as whole food snacks.
  • This is kind of a reply to those who said to use smoothies and peanut butter to use up your calories...I put almond butter (you could use peanut butter) in my smoothies. Even just a tablespoon adds a lot more than you would think.
  • Good article. However, as a nutrition student I would say aim for 8 glasses of water a day. Also, I've been taught by other Registered Dietitians that thirst is a very poor indicator for staying hydrated; thirst usually indicates you're on your way to dehydration.   • I definitely rely on measurements over weight. I work out a lot so I tend to gain muscle mass right along with shrinking fat stores. My size will look like I lost a noticeable amount of weight, but the scale will only be two or three pounds down from where I was.
