Last year I went on a day hike. The side of the hill gave way & pitched me into a ravine & it was about 30 min befor I could put weight on my right leg. If I had a trekking pole could have used it like a crutch so now I never hike with out one( plus love the extra support for my knees)

Why ? *sigh* Please explain the need to juice fast to me & maybe we can all juice fast together. I did a fast for medical reasons & believe me it wasn't something I would do again. Day 1 was juice & water & chicken broth. Day 2 water only. Oh was I ever "clean" The weight lost was gained back as soon as I was able to eat.

I decided to replace my helmet last week after my 35yr old nephew was in a mt. bike accident. His helmet split into, he was knocked out for about 30min. He may still lose his ear, to say nothing of road rash, ect. An "angel" happened to see him & called 911. I'll never ride w/o a helmet & may start using my motorcycle…

Thanks, I have to find a new dr. & will start testing more regular. Will go back to keeping my carbs in the 40g per meal & 15 per snack. I've been so exhausted have let my guard down meal wise. My fasting bg this am was 96:)

I haven't been checking my bg every time after I eat but frequently & I exercise regular. Hiking & cycling are my favs & I lift almost 1000lbs nightly at work. I used to walk or jog every day until the foot pain slowed me down. (I've lost about 30lbs so far) Thanks for your responses!

Took my 3yr old granddaughter on a short nature hike monday. Did the Joe Clark trail. Alltrails has it listed at 3mi- moderate. Due to recent rains we had quite the muddy adventure, 10 creek crossings, climbed over 3 larger downed trees, had to grab roots to get up a cpl hills & bootyscoot down one for about 15 yards. At…

I would love to do the group ride( had a buddy that day) but I work crazy hours so haven't been able to so far. The trail I was on is only a week or so old, but the rest of it is fairly tame. The only thing I know to do is hit it again till I'm up to par.

I made fajitas tonite heavy on the veggies, will stuff chicken breast with artichokes, sundried tomatoes & feta tuesday, plan to finish the week out with black bean pizza. I look foreward to eating it & it's healthy! Just change up your recipes to add a little excitement.

My father was a truck driver for 35+ years & had gained weight until he finally had enough! Started with small steps like others mentioned. He packed a cooled with fruit, cold cuts & cheese. You can start with small changes & work on eating habits over all. If you have biscuits & gravy, it isn't the end of the world just…

I also make my own trail mix, just weigh it so you can track calories.( mayo from the deli if needed) Tuna or salmon in the foil packs, wraps to put it in. I always pack some cuties or a couple of apples & caramel dip for quick energy. Peanut butter, cheese, oatmeal cookies,Jerky if sodium isn't an issue. Alot of foods are…
