I foolishy did not read all the posts, But I think I heard somewhere that moving your body is good for you or something? :-) seriously. Do you want to be skinny or healthy?

What is wrong with strong muscled thighs? If you are still carrying bodyfat, then overtime, as you reduce that, it should come off your thighs too. Nothing wrong with shaply legs though.
-
"Toning" is not a meaningful term really. Strength and build muscles with resistance training and continue to slowly lower your bodyfat percentage. Those shapely muscles will appear and you will look toned. :-) Abs: Planks, crunches, sit ups, side bends with weight Arms: Bicep curls, triceps extensions, bench press, push…

*goes back in time and slaps that gym teacher* Yes little by little you can improve. You may have a physical limitation of somekind., Could get that checked out by a DR or Sport Medicine specialist

Maybe you aren't getting enough calories to begin with? Could be the cause of some of your cravings. We all get them, but try and think of your long term goals and grab something that won't sabatoge your success. Best of luck!

Amen sister. :-)

I too would suggest not comparing yourself to others. That is a trap we all fall into. Work hard, get fit, have fun and learn to love your body, not compare to someone else. The number on the scale is not the only thing to be concerned about. Take care and best of luck!

Bassist. Have been in original Christian bands and a classic rock bar band. Currently working on writing and recording my own stuff with loops and live bass and keys. If only I could sing well I would never need another fickle musician again! :-) Hope to release my stuff sometime in the fall. I also have two offers to join…

Hi. "Defintion" is mostly about body fat percentage. As long as you have some muscles underneath, melting away the fat will reveal them. Certainly doing cardio and keep your calories in check will help over time. You can't tell the fat where to come off, but if you are consistent you will lower your overall bodyfat and…

Yep - this is the way to go

Good work. It's always satisfying to see and feel results. I need to get back to where I was 18 months ago and see my lovely biceps veins again! :-)

I will be starting the Insanity workouts as soon as my DVDs arrive. I plan to also do tradtional weight training at least twice a week. I will have to see how my body reacts to it all, but hopefully I can lean down and muscle up at the same time.

Yank the steering wheel hard to the left. Seriously, change something up for a while. A new form of exercise, fewer or more calories for a while, new intensity. Our bodies love to be comfortable and sometimes need some shaking up. Best of luck with your goals!

Congratulations. Keep up the good work. All the best in reaching your goals!

I have one of those "pill holders" A compartment for each day. I fill them all up Sunday night, then have it on the kitchen counter. I don't have to think about it anymore, it's a habit

That does sound like a very long and arduous hike to burn 1100. If that is rare, then I would not worry about eating it all back, but some, sure. Not exercising at all is not a great idea in my opinion. Slows down your metabolism and can make it harder to lose in the long run. Try and find a balance, eat enough to have the…
