Compromise with your wife. On your child's plate put some of what you eat and some of what she eats. Perhaps when your wife sees your little one enjoying good food she will be encouraged to take a step on the healthy road too. It sounds like your wife know s that she's eating crap but can't stand the fact that you are…

Everyone loses weight at different rates but please don"t eat less than 1200- you will only make yourself feel even more tired and ill- our bodies need fuel- fill it up with the good stuff.

I food combined years ago to see if it would help my IBS. It did, so I believe a lot of the science behind it all. I did lose quite a few pounds but I imagine that this was more due to the fact that you don't eat processed foods and everything is very natural. You really pay attention to how much protein or carbs you are…

When you joined MFP didn't you think to yourself "I don't want to eat like I used to, anymore"? So, DON"T ! You used words like binge/tons/super sized- that was the way you USED to eat, but not now. Enjoy the holiday season but eat small portions of all the things you love, exercise more to compensate for all the extra…

I' m so proud of you and i don't even know you! Bet your friends are kicking themselves that they didn't join you. I think so many of us put off doing things because we are afraid of doing it alone, but you are fearless and have reaped the reward! Good for you ;)

Drinking a large mug of hot water first thing in the morning before you eat is a natural stimulant to make you poop. I also take a probiotic capsule every day and my dr advised two citracel every day also.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Work out extra hard, save some extra calories and then eat her meal but TELL her of the extra effort you put in because you knew she wouldn't support you by preparing a low cal meal. You Win!! Remember, when you reach your goal you will be slim and happy, and she will still be slim…

Me too! I've traded in my facebook time for MFP, it's far more interesting!

It's driving me crazy, what does NSV stand for? We need an abreviations dictionary for all us newbies.

My sister is a bio-chemist and in 2001 she read in The British Medical Journal (a non-biased resource) about a study of Aspartame which revealed it stayed in the body a long time after it is consumed. Any artificial chemical that lingers in your insides can be up to no good. I have not touchd a food product containing that…

#1. I'm a Bravo TV girl- I watch em all. #2. I could wander round Target all day.

I drink hot chocolate- it's so sweet it stops the craving and I don't eat anything else.

My kids agreeing to not moan about coming to the Y with me every day until school starts (I'm paying them, of course- nothing like a bit of motivation!!)

My friend does and she eats raw turnip! Both are safe but not very tasty in my opinion.

I find it helpful to put in first thing in the morning what I'm going to eat that day so it makes me focus more on what I'm going to eat and how many calories I'm going to consume.

I say yes. I think you would be toning different muscles going down as opposed to going up. Plus, the more you move the more you lose!

This is a question for your hairdresser but I'm sure she'll tell you the same thing- your hair has its own growth/shedding cycle and yours is the length it is. There is nothing you can do to make it grow faster or longer. You obviously take good care of yourself so your hair will be in the best shape it can be. Don't…
