*hug* according to studies, faking it during nookie can increase the chances of wanting to paint your ceiling beige by 80 to 90%.

Did the Advanced yesterday with a three mile run. BRING IT.

Do not take advantage of a hired man who is poor and needy, whether he is a brother Israelite or an alien living in one of your towns. Pay him his wages each day before sunset, because he is poor and is counting on it. Otherwise he may cry to the LORD against you, and you will be guilty of sin. Deuteronomy 24 14-15 Stuff…

I'm in Seattle, so it's fairly nice out at the moment. Keep in mind, though, that this is not a very strict challenge; more of a 'get there by any means' type thing. Treadmills, stationary bikes, heck, if you wanted to use a calculated daily mileage from a pedometer you wear while walking around all day, would all count.…

Perhaps windmills? Arms straight out, lean down and touch one hand to the opposite foot, straighten up, other hand to other foot, repeat. Slightly more impact you can try wacky jacks, which I can't really describe but will show up on a youtube search.

157, on the southern edge of the marsh.

Never too late to start!

179.8 for starters. :drinker:

To be completely blunt: she's going to be a distraction and keep you from getting a really good workout. You're better off putting her in the kid's room or finding a sitter.

154- In another half mile, the road continues east around southern edge of the Marshes.

Oh. *That* type of cleanse. *puts away smudge sticks and slinks off*

145, slowly getting there...

My Manbeast got the Kettleworx program with the ten pound kettlebell. He uses the ten pounder, I use a 15 pounder. It's really what you're comfy with. Probably start with a ten, get the form down, then start increasing.

VIN Number. *shudder*

Problem was I wasn't feeling good. I was doing the same thing over and over without getting anywhere. I'm pretty sure that's the definition of insanity. Sometimes it's better to try a new way than to just keep banging your head against the wall.
-
Yup. I was just getting frustrated doing negatives and Austrians and feeling like I wasn't getting anywhere. I do barbell rows and lat pull downs as part of my (new) regular routine (4 weeks in), so I'll just keep working with those and with my new shiny resistance bands.
-
Good points! I'm nowhere near a 15 second lowering on my negatives, so something else to shoot for. I'll check out the site, too. Thanks!
-
Oh, goodness. I remember those from High School Phys Ed. Not sure how they'd help with actually getting up there, though, but something else to look into. Thanks! :)

Well I appreciate the reply, I refuse to accept that at 33% BF I have no hope of doing a pull up. Less weight is easier to pull, yes, but I have faith that my muscles will get strong enough to drag my bloated bag of skin up. So devil with that! Also, I have a full weight set up in my garage and lift heavy four times a…

Shiny! I'll have to play there.
-
I'm doing it the same way, with the knee in the band. Good luck!
-
UPDATE: I got a set of resistance bands to use on my pullup bar. Maybe they're helping, maybe it's my newfound determination, but without their assistance I can at least engage my muscles and start to pull myself up towards the bar. Not very far, but it's progress. I'm going to keep working with the band until I can do 20…

143- Road curves more to the east. Marshes fill all the northern horizon.

It's awesome. But bring your towel, and make sure it covers your mat. And water. And whatever you do, do not wear a cotton t-shirt. Cautionary tale: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/hypotrochoid/view/yoga-gone-very-very-wrong-470221#comments

Honest question here. Why do you want to put something on your food that makes it taste nasty just so you won't eat it?
-
Seconded on the ignoring of this gentleman.

Wow. Um, I'm not sure where to start. I have big shoulders and man arms. So did my grandma. It's genetic. Depriving yourself of heavy strength exercises for the upper body that will make you stronger in an attempt to change your body shape won't work. Let's face it, we're girls. Adding muscle mass to make that area even…
