Can you explain what causes you to "give in"? Does it make you feel ill, out of breath, hurt joints? Knowing why you stop, should help get you specific advice.

I had someone try to correct me while I was swimming the other day. It irked me, but I rolled with it and asked how to correct it. They said they didn't know! It had to do with breathing, coming from someone who was using a snorkel!

By Gym, do you mean weights/machines or just in general? An indoor pool would be great for aerobics or swimming.

The theory I've heard is you burn back calories better for the two hours following exercise. So I like to go for a walk, after eating. But this is more for a "how I feel" vs when or how the calories get burned.

What does she do, if there is someone on the machine when she gets there? Perhaps a little bit of her own medicine? You and 5 friends go and do 10 minutes each, if she comes up and tries to get on, tell her there is a line for the machine, and she should wait her turn.

Swimming, as long as you can flutter kick a bit. Or even being in the pool, taking weight off the ankle. Maybe a good question for a doctor though.

I use Nike+, as it can use GPS or its motion sensors for indoor track/treadmill running.

I think they are saying that adding weights to your workout is better than just Cardio.

Also, depends on what "Activity Level" you chose. If you choose Sedentary, then record all your exercise. If you choose Highly Active, then don't, it's already counted in.

Done it, twice! First time I had never ran more than a mile (IN HIGH SCHOOL!), and wanted to get fit. Lost weight and ran a 5K 9 weeks later, at the end of the program in 45 minutes. It motivated me and I eventually ran a half marathon! Got a hip injury and didn't run for 6 months. Got back on it and started running 5Ks…

Still swim, but do more drills and kickboard. The legs are the largest muscle group in swimming and will burn the most calories.

My mother in law use to sell them and do the treatments in home. It is perfect for getting bikini ready for a vacation or losing those last few inches to get into a wedding/prom dress. A few hours in a sauna produces about the same affect.
