Nothing like some entertainment for my afternoon. Thanks everyone!

Thank you for sharing your story! Very inspiring. Congrats!

I personally wouldn't pay for a personal trainer. You can go to the gym to do low impact workouts (like mentioned above) or create your own upper body workouts for home or the gym. Personal trainers aren't doctors and a lot might not understand your injury. If your concerned about form you can see exercises on YouTube and…

Starting back after an injury can be frustrating and downright depressing. You just need to listen to your doctor so that you don't prolong your recovery. I unfortunately did that when I was healing after a knee injury; I didn't listen to my doctor and made things worse for myself. Try and focus on some upper body stuff…

Good luck! I think that everyone has to figure out for themselves how to live in the real world, eat properly and get in our workouts. And let's just call it as it is...no matter what we all say you are still going to try this and you probably will get results. However, what happens when you get off this eating plan and…

No, ElliottClay is my maiden and married last name. Never been to Maryland....but I hear a lot of good things about it.

It would be a good decision to make an appointment with an ortho doctor to have your knee and hop checked out. I have had knee problems for what seems like eons...but my issues are a combo of different things which made taking input from others difficult. I do suggest getting a foam roller (I love mine) and rolling out…

I thought I would add in my 2 cents. I don't at all think doing an Olympic is too much; my first official event was a half ironman (did a lot of small distance tris while in training). Ambition is great...but you just need to make sure that you are prepared. You have plenty of time to train....but you must train smart!…

You can't spot reduce. Keep working out, continue to drink water and make sure that you are eating properly. Your diet is key in the weight loss journey.

Live in SF, work from home some days in SF and others down in Mountain View. Anyone can add me!

No problem. Hope that you heal quickly.

No worries! GP = General Practitioner. Years ago I went to my GP and she couldn't help so she referred me to an ortho doctor. If you have HMO insurance than you will need to go to your GP first and get the referral. If you have PPO insurance you can go to an ortho without a referral. IT Band: is a thick band on the lateral…

I have had knee problems for about half of my life. First and foremost I highly suggest you go to your doctor. Your GP more than likely won't be a great help so I recommend looking for an ortho. While you wait for that appt you should find a local place that checks your gait. Suggestions on the best shows will then be…

Yes! Thank you for the entertaining thread!

Thank you for sharing! Congrats on the first place. Very inspirational.

I used to eat only 1200 a day until I realized that I was not doing myself any favors! I started to research and realized that I needed to increase my calorie intake (got a lot of input from folks on MFP) and started to do more lifting. I am wrapping up ready the NROLFW and am looking forward to really focusing on lifting.…

Great information! Thank you.

I don't deny myself a treat if I want it...but as many people have stated, I make sure that it works within my calories for the day. I also don't do any low fat or nonfat stuff b/c that sometimes is a lot worse for you than the full fat. If you are going to do the full fat items make sure to stick to the serving size! I…

Very inspirational. Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your story.

Patience is going to be your friend here. Everyone has a frustrating time period where they stop losing weight even though they feel like they are doing everything right. Stay the course...continue to workout, continue to measure and log your food, drink the water that you need to drink per day, get sleep, etc. Make sure…

I was primarily doing a lot of running and cycling before I started T25 and liked it b/c it was different from what I was doing. Currently, I am 1 week away from completing all of the workouts (yay!). I have seen inches lost and some weight loss. The 25 minutes a day fit into my schedule really nicely. Now I find myself…

ONLY lost 11? You should be screaming that from the mountain tops. That is a huge accomplishment so don't use the word ONLY....one that not everyone can say they have achieved! With that said, I agree with others above...you look fantastic! Congrats on your hard work paying off! You should feel really proud of yourself!

On this everyday. Anyone can add me!

I recently bought a Panache sport bra and LOVE it! I have champion sport bras but they weren't big enough in the cup and weren't offering support for when I would job. I read a lot of reviews and decided on the Panache. My shoulders no longer rip open from pressure of the bra strap, I don't bounce as much (if you have big…

Great job! Your hard work and dedication has paid off. Inspiring....

I am on week 4 and loving it. Definitely feeling a difference in my endurance levels and seeing a difference with my measurements. I would recommend it for sure.

TRX is a suspension training and it good...but it sounds like you are looking for a good solid weight training program. I just started reading the New Rules of Lifting for Woman b/c I wanted to add in weight training and to reshape things. I would follow a program like that and make sure that your diet is dialed in.
