  • I am very low carb but have had some of the same eye issues that you have experienced. But I've had them whether I am doing low carb or not. I started taking some supplements that have really helped. I get them at the pharmacy and I believe it's called TheraTears. I really hate that ointment at night!
  • Great lunch ideas everyone!!
  • Thanks for the heads up!!!
  • Add me if you need a friend (rhondatn). Love the low carb diet! My diary is open as well to friends.
  • Just look at the very first post, page 1 for the recipe!
  • I really enjoyed doing ChaLean by Chalene Johnson. Her program is all about muscle burning fat. It's a 90 program that uses free weights.
  • I would love to know the nutrition info for these bars.
  • I know this thread is old for some, but the coffee is new to me and man is it good! New observation is that a good organic coconut oil makes a huge difference in taste!
  • Just made my first cup of bulletproof coffee! First impressions: if using Keurig maker, get a strong coffee and make the largest cup setting. The Aerolatte is a must as I'm pretty positive I could not mix this very well without it. The taste is really good and I think using the grassfed butter, although expensive, makes it…
  • Acid reflux does suck! I generally try to avoid spicy foods, tons of caffeine, lots of carbs, basically everyone good, lol! I had it so bad that I had to start taking Prilosec. It really helped. Also, don't eat for about 3 hours before bed and don't lie down right after eating. What helped me the most and gave me the most…

  • This is an excellent book! I reference it often!
  • I have the book and I follow her on FB. She puts a lot of her recipes on there if you want to see them. My family's favorite is the baked chicken with balsamic cream sauce and mushrooms. So good! Also, follow DJ Foodie on FB. He has some great stuff as well!
  • Sorry, meant to include this with my previous post. Where is this cloud bread recipe located?
  • Where is the cloud bread recipe?
  • Thank you and yes! I felt that I could handle the carbs. But I get out of control! The carb cravings are real! I'm on day 3 or 4 of strict low carbing and today I feel a little lethargic. But I know this will pass and I am going to keep it up this time!
  • Very interesting conversation that I have been pondering myself for a while. Before I started the lc lifestyle had borderline high cholesterol and high triglyceride numbers. After going low carb these numbers went down to normal ranges. I just fell off the wagon for a bit, had a physical, with my results being borderline…
  • Thanks for the chuckles and I always get the same reaction when I turn down dessert, "don't you want a bite of this?" Arghh, it drives me crazy!
  • I have the polar ft4 and love it. Maybe you can find one on sale?
  • This sounds great! Adding this to my LC recipe list!
  • I would try modifying your low carb diet just a bit. For me things like granola, fruit, or anything with flour will set me back, increase cravings, and kick me out of ketosis. Tweak it just a bit and see if you feel better. Try having cheese or other low carb options for your snacks, but I would definitely ditch the…
  • The same for me. I am carb sensitive and when I go low carb I feel tremendously better. My weight loss has slowed as I have gotten closer to goal with less weight to lose. Right now averaging 1-1.5 lb a week.
  • Great posts! And I love the bacon bowl!
  • Yes, this is normal and will get better. In fact, when you come out of this, you will feel great! Just give it a little time and add the broth as suggested by shar140.
  • I've been reading a great book called The Art and Science of Low Carb Performance by Jeff Volek, and fats are essential for low carbers. Most people get their energy from carbs, when you take them away you will have to replace them with something to get your energy, especially when exercising. This is when fats come in.…
  • I love pinterest for finding recipes and you can find my low carb board here: http://pinterest.com/rhondatn/low-carb-recipes/ And I love this lady's website (she puts a lot of work into the recipes and she uses "normal" ingredients, lol): http://peaceloveandlowcarb.blogspot.com/
  • Low carb is a great way of life! I have never felt better while eating this way and all my numbers (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc) have now returned to acceptable levels. If you want some great recipes check out this blog: http://peaceloveandlowcarb.blogspot.com/ She has some of the best (and easy) recipes out there. My…
  • You can add me as well. I am on very low carb and my diary is open.
  • I am in my last week of ChaLean extreme (90 day program) and it is awesome. I start Les Mills Pump next week. I am so excited by the results I have gotten from Chalean.
