used to be anti-food scale. I thought weighing my food would take away from my enjoyment of it. But now that I've broken down and started weighing, I've found that it actually *adds* to my enjoyment. It makes things easier, and once everything is weighed out, I don't need to worry about keeping track anymore -- I can relax…

do your best to guess. simple foods are easiest to guess at. avoid sauces (usually have cream and butter and stuff) something like grilled fish or steak and ask for potatoes or rice instead of chips. you don't have to clear you plate either, if it's a bid portion eat the veg but just some of the meat . enjoy your night…

you are doing the right thing by taking it easy when you get back after injury....just hang on to that enthusiasm and continue to enjoy it. i've been running all through my weight loss (now nearly at my goal) and it now feels so easy it just seems unreal but i'm just enjoying it

i don't pay much attention to that, i think it is just to give you an idea if you are on target that day. loosing weight is a longer term thing

7 inches is awesome...keep doing what you are doing and feel proud of what you have achieved

i agree for logging cardio exercise i really means stuff that makes you at least a little out of breath, so in would only count that

you'll probably find you loose weight but it will be muscle not fat. :(

avoid sauces, they often pile them full of cream and butter. tomato based are much better, Grilled is good. And don't be afraid to leave stuff on your plate! if the portion looks big cut off a smaller portion at the start so you can see when to stop! Enjoy the food you do eat instead of thinking about what you don't. and…

the most important thing is to weigh your self the same time everytime so it's consistent. i do weigh after exercise and a really big drink
-
enjoy what you do eat rather than worry about what you don't. lucky for me I like a plate full of veggies with a little bit of meat under there somewhere, or a pizza piled in veggies with just a slither of cheese. and i do have a takeaway from time to time and reeaallly, reeaally enjoy it when i do.

no refuelling needed...just keep hydrated

i'm intereseted in all your comments, cos i know i am going to reach the same point really soon! and am wondering where to set my goal. but also i look back over the last few weeks and think this is a great lifestyle, even if the weight stopped coming off i think i would still carry on as it's no real problem, i've got…

avoid the chips, but the burgers aren't quite as bad as you might have thought, check out the calories on the website before you go, make ou choiice and stick to it. just have one small thing and enjoy it.

lol...if i cheat and do a bit of exercise that i don't count, i think great i'll have a treat to make up for it...and then i log the treat lol. we are all batty.

fantastic job. well done

I use map my run (same as map my walk basically) on my phone. I like it a lot. Seems accurte, and consistent (i often run the same place) and it is accurate compared to measuring the old fashioned way. I also run with a club and many of the girls have the Garmins and I get the same results as they do.
