This is the best place to get fit, motivated and have your own personal cheering section. Good luck to you and add me as a friend if you'd like.

I agree with Apple having great customer service. I once bought a used mac book and accidentally sat something on it and it crushed the screen. I sent it back to Apple. They fixed it and shipped it back through DSL and it turned up missing. I called them and although they could have told me they had proof they sent it back…

Id let it go and come to the realization that every office has "that guy" and we all have to deal with them. You handled it nicely! So now you should start thinking of a comeback for when they comment on how much weight you've lost.

Fruit, protein, veggies...that kind of stuff. I try to have Greek yogurt, fruit, breakfast bars with protein, hummus and veggies.

I have a family of 3 so leftovers are the norm for us. We keep heathy options available but it's not as neat as your setup. Your fridge is immaculate. Lol
-
I do exactly this. Great post BTW!!
-
This is wise and great advice.
-
^ LOL!
-
This is my advice exactly. I would also add that if you're exercising, keep a reserve of calories for the day to offset just in case your estimate on calories is off.

THAT! ^^ Some things in life are truly memorable and this will stay with me. Thanks for posting.

If you want alternatives to sliced bread, there's a lot of good suggestions here. I like whole wheat pita, tortillas, wraps with lettuce or just do without. Good luck.

When you can't get to the gym for a workout, try little things that'll help you move around more and burn more calories. Try taking the stairs (especially if you work or live in a multilevel building), when you go to the store don't park as close as you can, park out a ways and walk to the door. If you have a free hour,…

Just make sure you buy clothes when it's obvious they don't fit you anymore. A little loose is okay but if other people comment that your clothes look like they're falling off, it's time. I've fluctuated a lot in the past (before MFP) so I have a lot of clothes in my closet that are at least 3 different sizes. I'm hoping…

Weight loss is all about calories in and calories out. Cholesterol doesn't affect weight loss and you should use micro numbers as a tool when you have a specific health concern for example, mine is sodium so I'm always monitoring how much I have and try to stay under.
-
I try not to eat mine back but when I'm hungry I eat some or all of them and I'm still losing. As long as overall my week shows a net total deficit to get me where I'm losing, I'm good.
-
Any cardio works for me and I try to make it a habit and do at least an hour a day.
-
Because I have a desk job so I eat on a pretty regular schedule but what I eat varies a lot. Sometimes, I try to consume everything and other times, I'm just not hungry. My advice is, eat when you're hungry and make better food choices overall and you'll be fine.

I agree with everyone else's comments regarding @livcrabtree. Just NO! I'm sure she's trying to help but PLEASE don't follow that advice. I'm 5'8 1/2" and weigh 197 and limit myself to around 1500 cals per day. I'm not hungry at that limit and exercise at least 5 days per week to burn about 800 calories and usually don't…

Hi, I'm down 14 lbs and my diary is open also and I'm sways looking for more support.
-
I'm basically eating the same foods only less of them also but I've also added more fruits and veggies and I think the added fiber has been a benefit! Everything has been coming along nice and easy so that's an added benefit for me.

Make sure you have a gallon jug of mystery substance and walk up to her and say, "I lift things up and put them down".

Good luck.

CICO works as long as your logging is honest and accurate. Diet fads are hard for me since I don't like being to restricted and want the freedom to eat something yummy as long as I account for it and exercise to be allotted those extra calories. MFP works and having friends here is a support system like no other.…

I will try that. Cauliflower is my fav.
-
Try mixing the following: boiled egg whites, greek yogurt, fruit, breakfast bars or an egg white omelet with cheese.
-
This is an interesting discussion and personally, I think it's all about CICO no matter how it's achieved. I've lost weight without exercise before but not the other way around. I also believe that in order to sustain long term weight loss, some sort of exercise should be incorporated into a person's lifestyle. My goal is…

There are better workouts for abs but if you insist on crunches, imagine holding a rope above you and try to keep from tugging on your shoulders and head at all. Or like someone else mentioned, try reaching for your toes.

The OP depresses me a little but not enough to give up. Now I'm more determined than ever.

...THAT!!
