I should have read all the replies before I listed mine, there are SO many that I forgot, lol!

Hard to pick just one!!! As far as older, I like Metallica and a lot of the 80's "hair metal" (Poison, Cinderalla, Ratt, etc.). Then I also listen to a good bit of the early alternative "grunge" music (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc.), reminds me of my junior high and high school years :). As far as newer music goes, I lean…

I was actually just having the same rant to myself, lol! "The Biggest Loser" meal bars are made of ground up dates and raisins, and are supposed to taste like chocolate... Not even close!!! They are terrible, if they were offered to those people who crased in the Andes mountains, I think they still would have eaten the…

You can do extra cardio to burn more calories off, but NEVER cut your calories lower than 1200. You'll trash your metabolism that way, and end up having more and more trouble keeping the weight off.

Too much sugar isn't healthy, just like too much fat or too much of just about anything isn't healthy. The biggest problem with refined sugar is that people eat way too much of it, and eat it in processed junk foods that also contain tons of fat, salt, and preservatives. Technically, sugar may have some addictive…

I've never found a straight answer for this one. One trainer says empty stomach is the way to go, another says to eat at least a snack 1-2 hours before a workout. I guess it's whatever works for you. I like working out in the morning, and I DAMN sure am not getting up at 4 am to squeeze in a snack first, lol!

I make my own salsa, tartar sauce (a lighter version than regular store bought), Asian foods like stir-frys

Well, besides trying not to go too crazy with the portions, I'll get some extra exercise in to make up for it. My cousin and I started a tradition, after the big family dinners, we have a Wii or Xbox dance party at her house, to burn off some of those excess calories.

I will :). I've had if for a few years myself, and I've done it several times, but I've never actually followed the recommendations until now. I started yesterday, and plan on doing it 30 days straight like the program recommends and see where I'm at.

Wow, that sounds good!! I may have to make some of those this weeked, I bet they would cook pretty well in a grill basket

I'm also a former dancer, and I also recommend Zumba :). I also enjoy the Hip Hop dance video in the Dance Off the Inches Series

Lol, my gym has the treadmills with the TV attached, so that makes it bearable. And their spin bikes have an iphone dock, so I can have my music and movies while I work out on them.
-
Yes, I know all about it being too hot to run, lol!! I have a gym membership, so I'm gonna hit the treadmill after work today. I already did a few minutes of circuit training this morning before work to get my day started right

I live in the Baton Rouge area as well!! I'm also a fan of Albasha's, but haven't been in a few years. They have a lot of healthy choices, so one way or another, you wouldn't have to give them up.
-
Just added you :). I'm 33 myself, and have about 30 pounds to lose to get back to my ideal. Noticing I have to work a good bit harder that I did in my 20s to get the same results, lol!

I don't remember any specific names, but they have a few nice grilled options, chicken and seafood.
