MFP does not allow a daily caloric intake of under 1200.

I switched my 1/2 and 1/2 for skim milk in my coffee. Nasty at first, but now I love it.

I was thinking the same thing. You really need to utilize a food scale and weigh anything that's not liquid. You'd be shocked.
-
If they have calories, YES. Record ANY calorie going into your stomach.

We are having shrimp, tilapia, and a crab bisque tomorrow with a salad. The crab bisque is pre-made, and higher in sodium--so I'll limit sodium for all other meals. I do tons with boneless skinless chicken, extra lean ground turkey, and lean pork. Almost always have a side salad and definitely a cooked veggie. I've also…

I can run the 'weekly net calorie' report from the main website, not only on my mobile app. ETA: Nevermind, I just realized you probably meant the weekly cumulative.

I am not your size, but I just wanted to say this is a really interesting concept to me. You could ship ALOT of clothing for $12.00. Way more than you could purchase at a thrift store for $12.00.

I've never been on them for less than 7 days, but yes. I've always gained weight. Try to be super careful of what you eat, and increase activity.
-
I agree, but I'm curious how difficult it would be if he ever tried to drop weight again.

Preps? Salt water flush? :noway: Wake up. Go to bathroom. Pee. Weigh.

I lost 4, and you can tell by my ticker I haven't lost anymore. I've been at it steady for over 3 weeks now, BUT---I went on a girls weekend and might have had a bit too much to drink, 3 nights in a row.
-
I can definitely tell! Good job!
-
I completely agree. The ONLY way I've been able to KEEP weight off, is through sensible diet and exercise. I'm working on finally losing that last 20 now.

Your body needs fuel. Eating net 0 calories is exactly like eating NOTHING for the day. If you eat 1000, and burn 1000, you've essentially given your body zero fuel. Not good. My general rule of thumb has been to always try and net 1200.
-
Why are you trying to keep them extremely low?
-
I wound up weighing mine separately dry, and then cooking separately. PITA.

WEIGHT 164 HEIGHT 5'5" AGE 34 CALORIES 1200 Eating back all of my exercise calories.

I despise the 'water weight' argument. Yes, we retain water and the scale goes up. We drink plenty of water and it might go down. A pound of feathers weighs as much as a pound of bricks as a pound of water weighs as much as a pound of fat. A pound is a pound to me.
-
I weigh every morning right out of bed. I only record once a week. I understand and expect fluctuations daily.
-
I'm a SAHM as well. I set mine to sedentary. I don't add my cooking/cleaning, but I DO add walking to the park, walking the dog, etc. I cook/clean on a daily basis, where I don't always walk the dog or walk to the park daily.

I researched this yesterday, and I've decided to always NET 1200. So yes, I eat my exercise calories. In the future, when I change my weight loss goal to 1lb/week, or 1/2/week, I'll be given more calories per day. I'll still only eat back exercise calories to NET 1200, yet I wouldn't have to eat as many back in this…
-
I've never even heard of it?
-
1930 is crazy high to me. Is that BEFORE any exercise?
-
With 400+ calories left, I'd eat one slice of cake.
-
I log right before I eat, I'm logging and planning as I'm prepping that particular meal---breakfast and lunches only. Dinner, I then plan immediately after lunch is eaten and logged, making allowances here and there for calories remaining.

I know my family will enjoy his products for many years to come. May he RIP.

Amazing job. You look great!

I recently froze the other half of a treat for another day. :-)
-
I'm still trying to clear the mud in my mind regarding this. My daily calories are set to 1200. If I earn 300 exercise, and don't eat them back---I'd only be netting 900. So, this is bad? Or should I/we aim to net at least 1200?

I weigh every single morning, but try to only record it on Friday.
