  • I totally fell off the wagon on day 5 and have yet to get back on. I keep sabotaging myself. Ugh. However, when we get back from a weekend of camping (I refuse to camp without s'mores) I am giving it my best effort again. Even after 5 days I felt great and as soon as I had wheat and dairy again my stomach looks and feels…
  • Hi! Feel free to add me as a friend :)
  • Doing the prep for the next days dinner to throw in the crock pot in the morning before work is one way I am trying to plan ahead. Also, I ordered some primal pacs jerky and bought some good nuts and freeze dried fruit just in case I need something transportable.
  • Haha! My friend just texted me and said she was stuck at work and the only thing she could eat was an avocado and she hates avocados. She said "I'm never coming to work hungry again" .....planning ahead is key!
  • For me it starts at about day 3 or 4 and only lasts a day or two, so maybe it won't be too much of an issue for you. It makes me want to sleep alllll day! Ugh! The link below is an interesting read.... http://www.gnolls.org/1984/the-science-behind-the-low-carb-flu-and-how-to-regain-your-metabolic-flexibility/
  • I had egg cups with spinach and prosciutto for breakfast, apples with almond butter, carrots, and sea snax (seaweed) for lunch, an uncured grass fed beef hot dog on a Japanese sweet potato bun with roasted bell peppers for dinner :) I packed tuna for lunch but it didn't seem appetizing so I ate the other stuff. I plan to…
  • The first and most important goal to completing the Whole30 is to change the way I view food so that I can change my emotional eating habits. Second, I struggle with headaches, dizziness, light-headedness, lack of energy...even when I was trying to eat better and in the gym 3 times a week, I still wasn't seeing as much…
  • Hahahahaha! A vegan zombie sweating like a pig huh? That seems ironic ;)
  • I have never tested as gluten intolerant, but when I eat it I get dizzy and lightheaded. I certainly don't think you have to test positive on a celiac test to know that gluten isn't good for your body. I agree with people who said to do some research about gluten etc. There are a lot of people who think gluten isn't good…
  • I have attempted it twice, but never made it past 2 weeks. I have been wanting to try it again, especially since "complete the whole 30" is on my list of things to do before I turn 30. I definitely notice an amazing difference in the way I feel when I eat according to their rules. It's amazing. I am hoping to start again…
  • I really like Vega. The chocolate flavor is awesome. It is about 159 calories and I think 15 grams of plant based protein. I highly recommend it.
  • The way fat is deposited tends to depend on body type and diet. Some women tend to gain more in the stomach due to hormones etc. Obviously I don't know what your diet is, but being a person who tends to gain weight in my stomach, here are a few things I believe can make a difference.... 1. Gluten and "gluten free"…
  • Ha! I am having flashbacks of Despicable me. I am 5'5 and at one point in high school weighed about 185.....I was once described as "voluptuous" by a guy my friend was dating. I don't think he meant it in a Merriam Webster kinda way. He just didn't want to call me fat, lol!
