  • TGI Fridays has a chicken and shrip dish that is pretty reasonable.

  • Well welcome to the group and I hope you learn to love your tomorrow.
  • Hello Kristy welcome to MFP and the group. My tip is to surround yourself with people who lift you up and that so much of this weight loss journey is a mind game. Stay strong and motivated and you will succeed.
  • Welcome to the group. I can so understand the embarrasing part about the gym. I just have to block everyone out and tell myself if I keep doing this they will all be watching because it will be amazing how much I lose. :)
  • Oh my gosh am I so in your shoes. HOwever; my husband is a bigger man but he chooses not to really do anything about it so we fight constantly about my gym time. All I can tell you is that I feel like it is all a mind game. I keep a weight loss journal where I right down quotes and motivational items. I turn to that and…

  • That sounds really cool I have never heard of that. Where did you get it at.
  • Jane, i apologize I have had a crazy work week and haven't logged in like I should. My plan is to still stay w/ the original idea. What is going on that you are having a hard time? What can we do as a group to get you motivated again?
  • Well I personally had a hard week. I am a manager for a few branches of a local bank and this week I had to shut one of them down and let some people who had become friends go. It was so hard and stressful. Therefore on Wednesday we had a potluck and I was a little bad but honstly pretty good. Then came the last day which…
  • Well we are happy to have you as a member of the group.
  • I would agree with the past two posts. Start small. I think so much of exercising is mental. Your brain tells you that your body can't do it and then we quit. Push past the mental block and just tell yourself you ARE GOING TO DO THIS!!!! Even if it is a few steps at a time you are lapping the person sitting on the couch.
  • that is ok just shake it all off and start anew :) I had a pot luck today and I did not log everything that wend into my mouth. Plus I didn't work out b/c my body is so sore. I promise I am going to dust myself off and get back up there :)
  • two of my favorite that I can quote are: The journel of 1000 miles begins with just one step Lap-Tzu I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phillipian 4:13 However; have a ton on my pinterest board that I love I just don't have them memorized.
  • Hello everyone my name is Ashley and I am 28 years old. I have twin daughters that just turned 4 and my life is either work or my family. I have been overweight all my life with a few successes at dieting the a yo yo act right back up. I joined MFP because the ladies I work with started up a little challenge on here so it…
  • I am currently on W5 Day2 and I am loving it. I want to run a 5k because it is a goal that I have always talked about doing and never quite got there. I feel like if I achieve it I am actually becoming a fit person. I want to show my girls what a fit life style is about.
  • Welcome to the group and I hope you find what you are looking for not only w/ in this group but all from MFP. I am a huge YOYO dieter but I already feel like this time is different. I have such a support system on MFP I would hate to let them down if I just quit. Best of luck to you and remember only you can make the…
  • Well Day one went pretty good. I met with a gentleman at the gym who taught me how to use all the machines and I definatly got my sit up challenge done for the day. I am going to be feeling it tomorrow. I also logged everything I put in my mouth including the 5 servings of fruits and vegies. Lets hope every day goes this…
  • Well I hope this group is the support and motivation you need.
  • Saying it out loud and then begining to do something about it is the first step. Just think you are doing more then that person sitting on the couch.
  • Welcome to the group!!! I also have a deak job so I know how hard that can me sometimes. As for your question I wonder if you are eating enough protein. Usually my protein is where a majority of my calories come from.
  • Well good for you and welcome to the group. You should check out the challenge for this week. I included abs into the mix.
  • Oh I do know those and they are rough. Good challenge though. I will have to keep those in mind.
  • Great for you. I have over 100 pounds to lose and have just started the Couch 25K program. I love to run and anyone who can do marathons are an inspiration to me.
  • Hello everyone and welcome to the group. I made the group because i have some friend on MFP that work with me or are real life friends and we are doing a little compettion(I am a little competitive).
