Eat above your BMR and 20% under TDEE Don't starve yourself to lose weight, you don't need to 1200 cals will send you into plateaus most definately. This happened to me so many times until I started eating more Good Luck :0)

Eat over 1543 per day and the wait will start coming off. 1543 is your BMR this is what your body would need each day if you were in a coma. If you have calculated your BMR and TDEE, unless you have set your TDEE to sedentary you should not be eating your cals back. Did u select sedentary?

Thanks for running those stats for me anyway :0) Yeah I figured I'm not much over BMR with 1500 especially if I'm going to start strength training 3 times a wk I will play around with my numbers over the next few weeks and see what gives me best results for both weight loss and lifting Thanks again

I'd say it depends on your BMR, figure out what that is and stay above that and below TDEE, you should do just fine. Good luck :0)

Harris calculates my BMR at 1447 according to fat2fit. Based on your height, weight and age your BMR is 1648, this is what your body needs daily jus for your organs, brain and everything else to function. I plateaued so many times eating 1200 cals. U should try and eat above your BMR and do strength training 3 times per week. Good luck :0)

Thanks for the reply I'm a little confused on how you got that number for my BMR, I have got it at 1440. This^^^ Your BMR is at least 1800, eat above this and 20% below TDEE. You are not giving you body enough fuel. I know you say u have upped cals before, but how long did you try it for and how much did you up cals by??

Eat above your BMR and 20% below your TDEE, Strength training 3 times a week, 10k steps a day. I think you maybe shooting a little high with 10lb in a month as you don't have much to lose now. Good luck
