Sorry for the lack of updates people. Since the comp, I've just been doing my regular 3x a week full body training modded for my injuries. Been eating heaps and back in the low 80's, strength is well up e.g. DB bench max was 30kgx8. Now 30kgx12. right arm assisted chins 57kg assistance (pavel 5rm program) was 6 at 79kg,…

Did your dog gain weight also? Maybe it's the sodium in the ham?

I would stick with the LP program for as long as you can. GVT is not really required IMO. If you can make gains with 3 sets, why do 10? Sheiko is AWESOME for upping the 1rm's (not so much the higher rep stuff). 29,37,32 is the typical first 12 week block. There is a sheiko forum with programs to DL also now. Many people…

not to any degree that would be visually noticeable.

For healthy non injured people, I like the 5-8 rep range for big compounds and a bit higher for isolation stuff. I quite often leave this up to the individual as I think mixing it up helps keep it fresh also. e.g. might do 3 sets of 15 one day, then do myo reps the next day or one 50 rep set. It's all muscle activation and…

As I said, Timbahwolf did 2014 last year in 5 hours ish. That's where I got the idea from :)

I understand it is very tough. Hmm... Maybe doing it in teams would be possible? Maybe up to 5 people per team or so. Add the totals to get to 2015.
-
fair enough. it is hard, that's why it is a challenge! I'll be doing it. It will be hard no doubt but I like a good test. The most reps I've done in one set at my BW is 55 by the way and that was 100% all out effort. I'll probably stick to sets of 20 or so.

Sorry for late updates. Been super busy! From hill sprints training and boxing with Kee at Alex Hill on the weekend. She has her first boxing match tomorrow night in Brisbane. Looks like she has bigger guns than me in this pic! :( Session went very well. RDL’s didn’t quite feel right though. Some extra reps on a few things…

How is a meal plan going to help if you don't like like to eat the same stuff every day? Is it possible that 1200 cals is too low for you then?

no takers?

The fact that it resizes pics now is a big plus. I think the adding pics and links boxes are good for noobs also. And the no rollover at 500 posts thing. Definitely needs to be wider though.

At home now. Made the final lineup for novice and U77kg open but no placings today. Not sure exactly why as 2 of the guys I was in front of 3 weeks ago placed and I was definitely leaner and I think I was my posing has improved also. That is the thing with subjective sports though so I'm not too fussed. No chance in the…

I'm a PT. I wouldn't trust any of the PT's at my gym to train someone to a powerlifting competition. (except me  but I actually compete)

There "may" be a few exceptions in elite sports but they are definitely in the minority. 2 days till bb comp for me. Ckding lately. Low carb = survival. Refeed days = beast mode :-)

2/10/14 BW 77.5kg (new low) Did most of my training in the morning at the HIT room like normal. All went fairly well. Then headed down to Brisbane to get my last dexa scan. Went from 6.3% to 5.8% since my last comp 3 weeks ago. First time in the 5’s :) Very happy, minimal lbm losses. Then checked out the relocated PTC.…

IF is a tool to create a deficit. If it fits your schedule it can work well. If you like to graze then it obviously won't. And I do not recommend it to anyone with ED tendencies. The IF calculator is just using the maths. It cannot predict weight loss accurately. Fluctuations happen.
-
This is why I don't recommend fasting for those with ED tendencies (I created the IF group on here). You need to sort out the reasons behind your binging basically. As others have said, psychologist. Also, unless you are VERY small it is unlikely that your TDEE is actually 1500. (Unless you have a severely lowered…
