For maintaining/building muscle while you lose fat do strength training 2-3 times a week. Do cardio in addition and have a 10-20 percent caloric deficit in your diet and you should see decent results

I have lots of protein and some starchy carbs at breakfast and lots of lean protein and veggies at lunch and supper. Fruit twice a day.Plus a glass of skim milk with protein powder post workout. Even with workout calories I typically have very little room for junk after hitting all those goals.

I have a "maintenance" day once a week, usually Sundays. I do log (and usually loosely plan ahead) but I also myself to eat junk I normally don't eat. The reason I log and plan ahead is because I tried the no logging/planning once a week thing d it usually just led to me binging.

When I go out to eat unless its my maintenance day I usually get a broth based soup. Chicken Noodle, Vegetable, Minestrone, Beef and Barley...these are all usually 400 cal or under for a bowl. And I make sure Im not starving when I go to the resteraunt.

If your 5"8 190 lbs you need more than 1200 calories a day. Im 5"2 112lbs. I have a base of 1300 calories a day and I eat back all exercise calories. It helps trust me :-)

Can you do a more intense workout at home while the kids are occupied and then go for relaxed bike rides with them for fun and quality time?

Speaking as someone who lost her father when she wasonly 23. Your kids will be very grateful of the hour-hour and a half a day to take to keep your body healthy, especially when they are adults.

Drink butt loads of water, maybe do an extra workout tonight just to make yourself feel better and most importantly forgive yourself, let it go and get back on the horse tomorrow. And to avoid these binges I pick one day a week to eat at maintenace and let myself have "bad" foods that day.

Try more intense exercise. Also lik was previously stated peanut butter is calorie dense. As are other nut butters, eggs, and nuts.

I have endometriosis so I get nasty cramps. I dont care what anyone says exercise does not help my cramps. If Im hurting that bad I take a day off. I figure it will wind up being 2 maybe 3 days a month tops so no big deal.

I drink a gallon+ a day. Usually about 120-135 ounces of just water, and sometimes I have a can of seltzer with lunch and dinner and I usually have a few cups of tea day too.

I know some people who don't like the taste or texture of meat. And like its been said some feel wrong eating animals. I personally eat (and thoroughly enjoy meat) but feel like a d!ck everytime I go to a fair or petting zoo and pet the cows and chickens, cuz the animals are so cute....but they also taste so good.....

In addition unless you go camping every weekend during the summer don't beat yourself up for enjoying yourself. This is a lifestyle change so you need to have fun and enjoy life sometimes.

I used to hate them to but I learned to like them over time.Ive been bbqing mine.I put them in some tin foil with a little olive oil and some spices and wrap itup and toss on the grill.
