  • Thanks for asking this- I am at the same place (just finished my first 2 halfs this month) and was just wondering the same question!! :) And thanks for all the advice guys!
  • First of all, I LOVE your username and profile pic :) Love me some 10th Doctor!! On a weight lifting note, I think it kind of depends on what muscles you'd like to work out. Here are some exercises I do each week, as an idea: alternating bicep curls bicep curls with shoulder press tricep kickbacks chest flys alt. leg…
  • I like sriracha on eggs and omelettes, in chili to spice it up, on veggies, on meat.. I guess fruit is the only thing I don't like it on, haha!

  • Shortie here too- 5' 0"! I started out at 144lbs, and I've now been maintaining at 108-112lbs for the past 9 months. Feel free to add me! :)
  • I've just set my own sugar macro, and as I'm looking back at each day, I do a quick tally of ADDED grams of sugar (in things like yogurt, honey, etc) vs sugar in fruits & veggies. If my added sugar seems particularly high, then I'll be extra aware of my intake for the next few days. Hope that helps!

  • From 28.1 at the start to 21.5
  • This has been said, but a more affordable choice than organic (although I buy organic as well) is to buy local & in-season, from farmers markets. Often the prices are less expensive than organic produce, and you can ask farmers directly about growing practices. Many are "chemical/pesticide free" growers but just can't…
  • I have had a similar situation- I got down to low weight and I haven't had my period for the past 8 months. I've gained back weight but have not gotten my period yet. I visited my doctor, which I would recommend you doing! They tested for Polycycstic ovarian syndrome, as well as ran some blood tests. My new doctor also…
  • Hi! I'd love a maintenance buddy! I've been maintaining (+/- 4 lbs) since February. I think the toughest thing is figuring out the balance of energy expended vs calorie intake. When I first hit my goal weight, I didn't add back enough calories, and I was still loosing 1 lbs per month, eventually getting to a weight that…
  • 28 y.o 5'0" CW/GW = 108-110 lbs HW was 144 lbs My base calories on a non-workout day are at 1400 right now, but with exercise that's very frequently more like 1600-1800.
  • Hi! Your post really resonated with me. I have recently (over the past year) lost about 20 lbs (which was weight I needed to loose), and while trying to maintain, I've dropped down to an un-safe weight for me. I've been trying to gain back some weight so I can have my period again, and it's very challenging- I feel like I…

  • I'm 5' 0"and I'm currently at 109 lbsand 17.8% Body Fat. Everyone's body is different, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I could get down to the 105-110 range (I started at 144 a few years ago, and when I most recently got into exercise I was at 138).
  • Hi guys! Here's me a few days ago, at 17.8% BF. I'm 5' 0" and 109 lbs, for reference. I'd like to get lower, into the 16% area, but I lost my period and I don't want to get down lower in an unhealthy way. I still feel like I have some areas (of course) where there's more fat than I'd like, but overall I'm a lot healthier-…
  • Hi Scott! Here's my 2 cents: Machines are easy to use and often people start with machines because they are essentially assisting you to do the exercises. As I started to add weight lifting into my routine more regularly (have been lifting for 3 x a week for the last 5 months), I have transitioned to free weights. I almost…
  • Hey guys! :) Just found this group- so awesome! I'm 5'0", and I just hit my "goal weight" this Monday! I posted my success story here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/891126-reached-my-target-weight-now-the-real-work-begins Feel free to check it out! I'm now working towards and even lower bodyfat %, strength…
  • Way to go!!! And thanks for the support and the warm welcome, all!! :)
  • I'm in my 10 week of Strong Lifts, but I'm new to this group- hi everyone! I started at: Squats- 50 Chest Press- 30 Row- 40 Deadlifts- 40 OHP- 30 Now at 10 weeks in: Squats- 105 Chest Press- 60 Row- 75 Deadlifts- 100 OHP- 50 Feeling pretty good about my progress, although I'm taking it sort of slow with the weight adding…
  • I use either "strength training" under cardio, or circuit training, depending on how intense of a lift day it was. If it was an intense day and I feel like I sweated a lot, I'll log a 1 hour lifting workout as 30 mins strength training 30 mins circuit training.
  • Hi! Just to give you an idea, when I started my "weight loss journey" in Sept of 2012, I was at 31.4% body fat. I did a 3 month check in at the beginning of December, and I was at 24.7% body fat. I just did another check in today ( cause I was curious!!) and I'm at 20.2%! So that's a loss of over 11% in a little less than…
  • WOW! You look GREAT! :) Great job!
  • I'm 5' 0". I'm currently at 112, and would like to get down to 110-105 lbs. BUT I am also doing strength training so If I stayed at 112 or went up to 115 I'd be fine with that- more concerned now that I've lost some weight about my Body Fat %. I'm aiming for 16%!
  • M/F: Female! Age: 27 Height: 5' 0" Start weight: 144 lbs Goal weight: 110 lbs Time it took: almost there- at 112 lbs currently and it took 5 months (Sept 2012-Jan 2013) Aloted daily calories: 1200, although I "eat back" almost all of my earned exercise calories, so most days I am eating 1400-1600. Did your aloted calories…
  • Yeah!!! Way to go, my MFP buddy! Proud of all the work you've put in- you are truly an inspiration!! I am currently doing Strong Lifts, but am thinking about checking out NRWFL based on your success with it!
