  • My husband and I are on day 5 - today is doubles day. We've already done our first workout today and will do the second before dinner tonight. This is the longest we've lasted on any workout program like this!
  • It's a dream I'm turning into a reality. I would like to become a Certified Diabetes Educator. My son has Type 1 and his CDEs have been our life savers (even more so than the doctors!). I start January 20th to get my RN, and then I have to have 1,000 hours of hands-on diabetes care in order to sit for my CDE. It is going…
  • I'm 5'4'' with about 70 pounds to lose (and possibly more, but want to see what that looks like). I did really well in 2012. Had a life changing event January of 2013 and by June of 2013 had put the entire 45 pounds I lost back on, plus a little more. I started again yesterday. We can do this!
  • 5'4'' and 201. Nearly 2 years ago I lost 41 pounds. Then my son spent four days in PICU and I spent four days eating like crap to make myself feel better, then an entire summer eating like crap, then an entire year. And now I'm miserable. 13 years ago I lost 91 pounds in 8 months. I felt awesome and I want to feel that way…
  • Name/ real name: sincity2003 Goal weight on April 30: 174 4/1: 183.5 4/8: 4/15: 4/22: 4/30:
  • Their website has all the nutritional info you need. If you're looking for suggestions of what tastes good, the lasagna primavera on the under 500 calorie menu is really good. The pasta fagiole (not sure how to spell it) has only 130 calories (but is loaded with sodium). You can order salad without the dressing or with low…
  • I would also wait until you reach goal. Most jewelry stores sell a ring guard that will get you through until you reach goal. I got mine at Kay's and they run $20, but they didn't charge me because that's where my rings came from and that's where they will ultimately be sized at. Depending on the manager, you might get the…
  • Been a blah day all day. Hubby and I went out last night and didn't get home until 4:45 this morning. Took our youngest to baseball practice for 3 hours, ate some comfort food at Olive Garden and have been half asleep/half awake all afternoon watching the AFC/NFC playoff games. Not bored...just extremely tired LOL.
  • If you have MFP and FitBit linked and you're doing something like the treadmill, do not add it to MFP as exercise or it will double count it. If you're doing strength training or weight lifting, you need to go in and adjust your exercise because FitBit doesn't log those things. Hope that helps!
  • I'm just curious...if they are selling you "Eggs and oatmeal", why can't you just eat eggs and oatmeal from the store? Every morning I eat a bowl of oatmeal. It's my breakfast. It's not powdered and it tastes good. Instead of paying $600 to someone to serve you powdered imitation oatmeal, why not go to the store and spend…
  • I've never considered cleaning, shopping, food preparation as exercise and I don't log it here on MPF; however, I now have a FitBit and it adjusts my calorie goal (negatively or positive) at the end of the day (or as the day progresses, depending on what I'm doing) for me. I have it set that I would like to burn 750…
  • Completely boring, but I eat oatmeal every morning, 7 days a week, for breakfast. It's 160 calories and I know that part of my day is taken care of. Since we tend to eat bigger dinners, I save most of my calories for dinner time and working out for the afternoon. I seem to be doing okay <shrug>
  • Hi all! I don't like giving out my real name, you can call me Sin :) No matter how vain it sounds, I'm doing this to be hot again. I'm tired of being the overweight mom at my son's baseball games. I lost 36 pounds last year (10 before MFP) and plan on losing 60 more this year. Today I went to the gym and walked on the…
  • I'm in. I walked 3 miles in 60 minutes today...however, that was just at the gym :) My FitBit says I have walked 3.94 miles so far today. I guess I should update each morning with the numbers from the day before to be accurate?
  • I'd like to join! I am going to the gym 3 days a week for 60 minutes and I ordered Rockin' Body on Monday to do on my off days, so 5 in 7 is completely doable. Thanks!
  • I'm in! Got a FitBit One for Christmas and it keeps track for me. I've been pretty sick since the 23rd of December, but I seem to be on the mend. I'm headed back to the gym on Wednesday, once the doctor clears it, and 10,000 steps a day sounds doable :)
  • I've joined. Same username as here :)
  • My FitBit One...I kind of thought I was getting it, but wasn't sure, so when I opened the gift and it was there, I was excited. I'm still playing with it and trying to figure it all out but I think it's going to be awesome. I also got a GameStop gift card and I'm hoping they have a used copy of Zumba Core for the Wii (I…
  • You all look fantastic. Thank you for posting...soon, I will have my own to post :)
  • This thread is one of the reasons why, at my new gym that I joined on December 8th, I am uncomfortable. I had to ask a question yesterday and felt like everyone was staring at me. It's a reason why I didn't join what I consider a real gym for a long time and now that I have, I don't want to ask any questions. We all start…
  • Yep, last time I lost weight (before I had my son), I needed to slim my hips and thighs because I was 104 pounds and still wearing a size 10...I went to spinning 3 times a week for 6 weeks and dropped to a size zero. I've just rejoined the gym and am spending the first 30 days on the treadmill to work myself back up and…
  • I go through the McDonald's drive-thru every morning and order just a Diet Coke instead of the burrito meal I had become addicted to!
  • You rock! Thank you for that recipe...copying it now so I can attempt to make a batch tomorrow.
  • Way to go! My work pants were my first NSV as well and it was great, because I held on to those baggy pants for awhile after I noticed it and one day I popped up into work in my 2 size smaller pants and everyone was in shock LOL. Great job :)
  • Would love to join; I have 70 more pounds to go, but I don't see it in the "Groups" section by searching for it. Can you post a link to it? Thanks!
  • While some of you mock her regarding whether you can eat fast food or not, I will be one to say, I gave up my McDonald's breakfast burritos a month ago in a mini challenge with some of my friends on here. It wasn't easy, but I haven't had one since. I still go every morning and get my Diet Coke, but I have no desire to…
  • Not nearly enough :( We go through spurts where we will cook 4-5 days a week and then we have weeks where we eat out 7 nights a week. Horrible, I know, but we are working on it. Nutrition and money saved should be huge motivators, but after working all day, neither one of us wants to cook!
  • bumping to save for my home computer. Thank you!
  • Plastic surgery? Not trying to be flip, but you said something other than lifting weights....
