Not my post but I just want to say thanks commenters for the truthful and honest advice. I myself often wonder if these gimmicks do any good. Clearly, there are just gimmicks. Calorie regulation/deficit and reasonable exercise are the tried and true methods to success.

Been playing Guildwars 2 and Diablo 3 again. Also picked up a few games from the Steam sale but haven't put much time into them yet.

I stick with it, keep the routine. I refuse to allow an excuse like my period to stop me. I continue still pay close attention to my food intake, I continue to exercise, and I increase me water intake by an extra glass. Menstruation is an excuse and nothing more. My biggest losses come two days after my period ends and I…

Let me just say I LOVE your sense of fashion. Let me take a look in your wardrobe....I promise I will return anything I borrow. Even if that's your entire closet.

I have a son with this issue. I do not know how many children you have or what their age gaps are, but part of what makes this a tough issue in our home is this son is also my most active energetic kid, he eats what the other kids are, and the others are all in a good weight range. Been giving him what I keep thinking are…

Definitely. It's up and down. I am coping with support from friends and family, giving myself double time to complete tasks, setting slightly lower more manageable goals and tasks, exercising, and talking it out. It's manageable for now but, yeah, I feel it.

I thought so too at first.

Firstly, I know I never WANTED to be over weight and unhealthy. That was never my goal. I am going to assume that MANY of us here have felt that way including the poster. There were times that I really was not knowledgeable enough to realize I wasn't do all that I needed to and, so in turn, I was believing I was doing all…

It took me quite some time to get the ball really rolling in my own weight loss. I had to give it 5-6 weeks before I started seeing real results on the scale and that included daily exercise, dedicated and truthful daily logging on both food and exercise, and controlled once a week scale logging. It took me time to figure…

I started at 250, I lost over 70 lbs and have been keeping it down. Add me! I like getting new friends!

How long have you been exercising and calorie counting? If it's been less then 6-8 weeks I would say take a deep breath, stay calm, and keep at it. It takes time.

This was me too.
