LOL, like lentils. IDK, I guess somewhat like a split pea but nuttier?!

Have you tried lentils? Beluga Lentils are SUPER high in protein. I get mine from Trader Joe's.

I'm going to sound like your mother here, but "are you taking your vitamins?" You need Vitamin A, D and calcium for good nail growth. Mine were super brittle for the longest time and now I know it was because my Vitamin D level was in the crapper. Then last year I stopped all dairy and it happened again. I now take a…

For the lean hamburger I would do a play on Spanish Rice. Saute and onion and green pepper in a skitllet. Put aside. Brown the beef in the skillet and make 2 cups of rice. Drain the grease off the beef, add back in the onion, green pepper, and a can of diced tomatoes and the rice. Stir until combined and heat all…

I've got to say I have an awesome gym. The folks that work the weight floor are more than willing to help you figure out what to do and how the machines work. They don't treat you like morons and push services you don't want/can't afford. My gym also has pictures on "MOST" of the machines to show you how to use them. I'd…

My advice for questions is to ask them on your wall if you are friends with several LC'er's as well as on these LC specific forums. I get a lot of great advice from my friends on here!

They clearly don't bother my husband. He told me to "Cover up the goods" this morning. I've still a ways to go and he's happy with me as I am. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. He has a lot of them and I don't focus on them. I'm just proud he's lost 100 lbs! Any man that focuses on that and uses it as an…

So this morning I added blueberries to my Chobani and brought my Pure Lemon Extract to work with me. I added MAYBE a teaspoon and then added some Truvia and mixed it up. Mmmm mmmm mmmm, was it delicious! I'm going to experiment with some of the other ideas I see you all have added. I was thinking blueberry and orange might…

Thanks for sharing. This sounds AWESOME!

IMO I would suggest she STEER CLEAR of this. These are just quick fixes and when you stop doing them they stop working. The only thing that truly works is CHANGING YOUR LIFESTYLE. That means what you eat and adding in exercise. Even those brave folks who choose WLS have to make these changes. It's NOT EASY, but in the long…

That stinks. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. My dog and I were attached not once, but twice two years ago. The first time I didn't call the cops because I was just so shaken up and wanted to get the hell home. The second time I didn't take it lying down and they did give the guy a ticket. After that time the…

I agree about the specialty store for the shoes. It pays to buy ones that will fit you best. For the tops and pants I really like the Champion line they carry at Target. It's pretty reasonable and I get the items with Duo Dry which wicks away the sweat. For me this is a MUST for my workout gear. I absolutely HATE being all…

Looking at your food diary, if I was you (and this is my opinion only) I would do the following: Eat more fruits and veggies Eat more protein Stay away from so much processed foods track your sodium (I think this may be your culprit causing you to retain water)

Someone needs to declare tomorrow Tata Thursday!

Sent the link to DH, will see if he's interested. We need to get some 5k's on our plate to motivate through this cold *kitten* weather! Thanks for posting!

I think it depends on the person and how big you are! For me, hell yes to which I'm so happy. I started out in GOD KNOWS what size. After 40 lbs I went to a 38K, am down 87 and now wearing a 36ii but it's too big. I hate spending the $$ on new ones, so will limp along until it looks bad under clothes! I do remember that…

I absolutely LOVE to people watch at the gym. I watch EVERYONE. I'm inspired by those that are not in shape working/sweating their A$$es off to get into shape. I crack up at the people that hop around to all the machines barely spending 30 seconds at each one and not putting in any real effort. I'm sure they stare at me as…

I'd tell him "if that works for you then do it, this is working for me and I'm going to stick to it!" BTW my husband tracks just as much as I do, but he didn't start out that way. He liked my results and got on the wagon with me!

Well I for one agree with you. I'm not a big fan of short hair on women, myself included. 16 years ago my hairdresser decided to cut off 8 inches without telling me. I was growing out a really bad perm at the time. To say the least I was shocked. I went from hair below my shoulders to a bob that was cut so short she had to…

We really like doing both of the following: Kabobs with slices of the sausage in between peppers, onions, & tomato's. It tastes just like pizza! Grill/pan fry the sausages and then saute vegetables in the pan. We like all colors of bell peppers, yellow onion, garlic, tomato's and banana peppers. Super yummy!

That's what I walked down the staircase too. LOVE LOVE LOVE that song. I can play it pretty well on the piano. It's on my iPod too!

Old School-Faithfully by Journey. But then again we got married 14 years ago!

I'd say it's only annoying if you are doing it ON PURPOSE to impress the ladies. You know who those guys are. Last night I was making a ruckus myself in the pool doing sit ups with my legs over the side. I grunt a little when I need to, but not on purpose. I say do what you have to do and don't worry about what others…

I am GF as well due to Celiac's. We have a couple of groups to discuss things, come join us! Search on gluten free in the groups section. It's hard at first, but once you domit you'll feel oh so much better. My rule of thumb is to shop the perimeter of the store!

It goes back to the low fat diet craze. It's total crap. We eat e eggs a day every day some weeks and DH was able to get OFF his cholesterol mess through exercise while eating 21 eggs a week!

I really like Cooking Light recipes which can be found at www.cookinglight.com or www.myrecipes.com.

I find this a funny statement as most of their bras only go to a DD or DDD. For those of us who are further along in the alphabet it doesn't help. I'm currently a 36HH and so cannot find ANYTHING on their site to fit me appropriately. And yes I know if I go up in the band size it "should" fit, but it's not the same as a…
