  • I have the same problem..and I know that it's at least partially because I'm not eating quite enough. :ohwell: Hunger keeps me awake.. Needed to change my diet a bit to get rid of that problem.

  • That's a really good point! It explains why I personally find it easier to exercise later during the day than in the morning.. Or at least it gives me something to blame when I don't do so well in the morning - dehydration. Thanks for sharing the article! :flowerforyou:
  • Has happened to me as well in the past.. The more weight your feet have to support, the wider they spread
  • Oh how I needed this today.. Thanks for sharing!
  • The site I often use (http://www.fineli.fi/food.php?foodid=111&lang=en) says it's about 309 calories per 100 g. But I'd like to agree with AdreaDawn - the brand you choose probably does have some effect.
  • I don't drink anything with alcohol in it (oh yes, I'm that boring  ) so I could easily live without wine. Heck, I DO live without wine  But chocolate is like a drug to me.. I just ate a chocolate flavored muesli bar as a part of my lunch :embarassed: Cheese on the other hand is something I eat only on rare…
  • I used to blog for years about life in general. Then life brought about some changes and I quit writing down my thoughts - which is a shame. Nonetheless, when I started this diet, I also started a blog at http://bhdb.wordpress.com/ . It helps me stay focused because now I have this feeling that by the end of the week I…

  • I log before if at all possible. My main problems are that I love to eat until I'm full and I love to eat often. A disastrous combination, I know. Luckily my food diary helps me with this and I usually plan my meals so that I get to eat lots of different things quite often during the day. I've filled my kitchen…
  • I used a BMI tool similar to the one on this site to get some sort of idea of my ideal weight range. I'm a tad muscular so it doesn't work on me too well but I found it helpful anyhow. And I also looked at some old photos of myself.. I lost quite a bit of weight some years ago and even though I was classified as "normal"…
  • Obviously you have to stay within reason with your calorie amounts.. But in case you are interested, here's a nice little calculator that creates a 7-day calorie cycle without starving you to death: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm# The site says: "Calorie cycling provides same amount of calories per…
  • Yes it does. They even say that something like that is better for your diet because that way your body doesn't get used to a certain amount of calories. So it's possible to set for example a weekly calorie limit and stay within that - eating more on certain days and less on others.
  • Oh, never mind the last part. I found the technical support thread
  • Thanks lauren! And by the way.. I might be really stupid here..but how do you get that orange "forum signature" part into your posts? Is there like some secret handshake you need to know before you get to create one?
  • ..and I still haven't introduced myself! So here I am - introducing myself. I joined MFP last week as I started my diet. I've found the site very useful and motivating  Anyhow, I'm here to lose about 26 pounds which I have managed to gather during the past 5 or so years. I lost more than twice that amount when I was…
  • I have always loved chocolate.. Now that I'm trying to lose weight I have started to eat muesli bars with chocolate flavor. And drink all sorts of soy drinks. There are all sorts of light versions available with reasonably low calories. And I also let myself eat an occasional candy bar. I'm dieting - not torturing myself…
