I weigh every day. It keeps me in check. It can only be hurtful if you aren't willing to deal with daily fluctuations. But most people weigh themselves weekly. Others I've seen have gotten upset with the scale and hid it from themselves for a month lol. Honestly its up to you.

Are you sure that she's your friend? It honestly doesn't sound like it. You can do it. Don't let her negativity bring you down.

I stretch before. Then walk 5 minutes and then for 30 seconds for so I stretch my quads and then run (outside). Cool down is a 5 minute walk and stretching after. I had a bad knee and thats why I stretch so much, it prevents me from getting an injury.

I know this isn't what you want to hear but when you lack sleep, the hormone that tells you "I'm full" is supressed and the hormone that tells you "I'm hungry" increases. So the only advice I can give you is to plan out your day in small meals. That way your blood sugar won't dip and cause you to feel like you are REALLY…

If it doesn't make sense to you, it can be listed with all the other idioms we use in daily language. "Spill the beans." "A dime a dozen." "A piece of cake." etc

You have another thing coming. Think doesn't make any sense. You're threatening to punish them. Thats the "thing"

I honestly wouldnt. But its up to you.

Well you have to start by 1. Changing your attitude. If you come into this saying "I'm tired of trying." "I never finish anything." etc, you're setting yourself up for failure. You have to believe you can do this. Be excited to lose weight. 2. Make a commitment to yourself. That you will try this for at least 2 months.…

I am in, but I am not telling this person to their face that I am forgiving them because that could just start something with her again. I will forgive and let go in my heart.

I've been having the urge to do yoga lately as well but I have a dvd of yoga for beginners and need to get something different because they make me mad about talking me through all the steps like I am 5 yrs old lol. Anyways, food cravings are pretty much the same. Except, I can now satisfy them with healthier alternatives…

1. My ability to smile at little things. (Like the little boy who made a smiley face out of creamer on my table the other day) 2. My eyes. They sparkle when I smile 3. My smile. Everyone says I always look happy, which typically I am. 4. My nails. I just got them done the other day and they have sparkles! :) 5. The color…

One week is not a plateau. A plateau is like 3-4 weeks of no change. Can't see your diary but usual problems are 1. Not drinking enough water. 2. Repeately doing the same exercises 3. No strength training. 4. Not eating back your exercise calories. 5. Eating the same foods every day, or eating the same amount of calories…

I love deli fresh 94 percent fat free roast beef. its awesome. As far as 60 carbs a day? Honestly I think the only way you are going to hit that goal is to drop bread, pasta, and rice. I haven't been eating any of these and my carbs are still in the high 90's

Possibly your TOM? You can gain up to like 6 lbs right before. Its scary I know. I actually was kinda having the same problems, I'm down to the last couple pounds and they truely weren't coming off. I tried the whole cheating thing and then coming back to no avail. Then I remembered doing the 17 day diet and how the first…

1. Going down the baking aisle in search of nuts with nothing added to them instead of cookies etc. 2. Giving away all of my halloween candy. 3. Having a craving for the peanut chicken at a local Chinese Restaurant and ended up making a pretty good healthy version at home. 4. Running 12 minutes straight :) <--- my favorite.

*cough cough* I do know what I'm talking about. The Problems to Watch Out For: Check with your health care provider before starting an exercise program. For most pregnant women, exercise is very beneficial, but for women who have a high-risk pregnancy or are at risk for pre-term labor, exercise should be closely monitored…

Don't do it. I know that getting your body temperature up during pregnancy can harm the baby's development. If you weren't very active before the pregnancy, your doctor will probably recommend to keep it to just walking.

Great for you! But I hope that guy got smacked after that meeting.

I love that idea that if you gain the weight back, you have to pay the insurance company back! Fabulous idea. Its honestly motivating for people. I realize that there are people out there that NEED this surgery but after seeing so many successful people on here, I find it hard to believe that she stuck through every last…

You need to 1. Move down to 1 lb a week. 2. Decide after a week if the new calorie addition requires you to eat back your calories. If you're burning over 400 though, I would recommend eating at least half of them.

Did you know that exercise is really good for emotional problems? It helps your body release endorphines that make you feel better. Also I've given this advice many times but it bares repeating. To help with my emotional eating and self esteam issues, I made my fridge my "bulletin board of fitness" Every day I pick out…

Spraining my knee and ham string, and a stress fracture in my thigh. I went from being a very active individual serving at a local restaurant until one day I decided to take a spill on tile. Worst time of my life recovering from that, going from physical therapy to stupid doctors who didn't listen to me or know what they…
