Depending on your calorie intake, 35% protein is most likely well beyond the minimum needed. I would recommend dropping the protein some and increasing carbs a bit.

I've gained some strength and muscle in my legs without traditional squats and deadlifts (though I did have some advanced bodyweight squats in my routine). It can certainly be done.

Agreed. I'm not sure that I agree with the idea that eating 4+ eggs a day is still considered "in moderation".

Another situation where a bulk is done is by those who simply have low muscle and overall body mass to start with.

While it's true he's certainly not eating enough to gain, I think it's fair to say an intake of 3000 calories is not a small amount for his size. As it's already been alluded to, most people here that need that much to maintain are much larger.
