You mentioned in a response to someone that you are working out "3 to 4 hours a day" Even though you are filling up with a lot of fiber and your stomach is "full" , maybe you are actually not eating enough, hence the cravings? How many calories do you eat a day and how many do you figure you burn working out? What is your…

Going to a Christian camp with my kids in 5 weeks. Hope to be under 200 before I go. I'm at 205 now so its iffy! I hear the food is not very good there so if I don't succeed before camp, maybe I'll be there by the time I come home!

That seems like a lot to do (300 floors) for basically the first time exercising on it! Im wondering if you'll be super sore 2 days from now. I hope not!

This post really has made me think about myself. I have fears too, and I've just never really realized how much of a factor they are in my self-sabotaging of my progress. Thank you for posting. You expressed your/my experience well. 😁 Now that I have a little more insight about my fears (just realizing I have them is…

PB powder. I found out I only like real peanut butter. And rice cakes. Ive tried them several times and i want to like them but I just dont.

You know how sugar is... the more you have, the more you want. Thats why it's SO hard to go through those first few days when we cut out a lot of the very sugary stuff. But, think back to when you were eating healthier. Every day wasn't a tough, sugar-battle. The flipside is the less you have, the less you crave it. So,…

Why don't you hire a personal fitness trainer and tell him/her your goals and let them set up a regimen for you?

Another laundry one, i found MY jeans that I had hanging on a hanger in the laundry room crumpled up on the floor. I deduced that my 11 y.o. son took them off the hanger thinking they were his (NSV) and left them on the floor (PNV = parenting Non-Victory) 😆

Yes, but you won't wake up feeling sad! When you DIDN'T binge the night before you feel so PROUD of yourself the next morning! Kind of like... "Shwew! Thank God I made it through last night without blowing it!" You then don't face that morning hangover of food regret. So, that's a plus. But, I wish you well in learning how…

I started intermittent fasting (16:8) along with a simple calorie restriction diet based on the number generated on MFP for a 1 pound/week loss. My triglycerides which every year at my doctors appointment were always around 200 dropped to 90. I know its the fasting aspect that has affected the triglycerides so much because…

Along with doing your best to get in your vitamins with food, take a multivitamin each day to help fill in any gaps. The only macro I pay attention to is protein. I always make sure I get my protein. Everything else pretty much takes care of itself.

1. Went out to eat at applebees today with friends. Looked up the menu ahead of time. Realized many of their dishes are well over 1,000 calories. Found something i could fit within my calories, and it was yummy. 2. Subconsciously I really wanted some brownies so was going to make some for my boys (not really). I realized…

I'd tell him don't give up! Just try something different.

My story - I started tracking nutrients on MFP about 2 months before my yearly labwork appointment. Noticed I was always severely lacking in potassium. Yet, my potassium was fine at that appointment. Still I was a little worried about it though since I had only been dieting a couple months. I then dieted for a whole year…

Yes I definitely track my numbers while doing IF. I still want that reassurance of knowing my totals and assurance of weight loss that only comes with counting calories. Doing IF just makes it easier (for me) to stay in my deficit. Also, I like to know my protein intake. One final point - I think with IF one is just as…

I think its a great idea!

I am on a run of craving unhealthy foods today too. I just figured up my calories and if I stop eating right now, I will still be below my calorie goal, despite the 6 hershey miniatures that I just ate! So, what is working for me today is figuring up the damage, realizing it wasn't so bad, and going ahead and brushing my…

I've kind of got a big one I'm about to endulge in... wireless ear buds to use at the gym. I'm so excited!

When I was out of town one time I ran across a huge restaurant named "Souper Salad" It was the biggest and best salad bar and soup bar with about 15 soups to choose from. That's all you could eat there and I was in heaven!!

Imitation crab meat salad...I crave it!

I've got 4 boys 17, 16, 12, 11 so I spend a lot on everything!! ... but meat - always the meat!🤣🤑🥴

I am amazed at how little loose skin you have with such a fast and profound weight loss! You must have some very elastic skin!

Yup, I feel ya. I have been not logging my food and floating up and down the same 5 lbs for .... I can't believe it... 7 months! Where is my motivation to make progress?! I just started logging again yesterday, and feel like summertime approaching will give me some incentive to stop messin' around!
-
I'm sure others have noticed, just haven't said anything...congrats on your progress!!

About 3 years ago someone gave me some cute Erimish bracelets. They were too tight so I gave them away. Yesterday I bought some more, because now they fit! Sparkliness looks great on my slimmer wrist! 🤩

'Bout 50 pounds. 🤣

I like my microwave popcorn hot and fresh. For this reason I only use the snack size bag. I'm likely to pop another bag after I finish the first but I won't pop 2 before I start eating because the popcorn at the bottom of the bowl isn't fresh enough for me anymore. I am such a Popcorn Princess, I know.

I also have to eat immediately when I walk in the door - because of both hunger and habit. My go-to's are: a protein bar OR celery/raw carrots OR a cooked bowl of veggies already proportioned out and stacked in the fridge just waiting to be microwaved OR ALL of these things if it's that kind of day where I'm starving or…

Thank you for this thoughtful, researched response. So the takeaway here is that I am less likely to have a true plateau if I'm exercising along with dieting? Good to know!
