  • I found halo top awful too. Chilly cow was ok—but the Enlightened ice creams are delicious. I love all of them
  • I’d say if fasting hours are giving you headaches—then you need to reduce your fasting hour window. 20 hours is a lot to go into cold turkey. And if you’re getting headaches and a lot of hunger during the fast—then you’re more likely to binge eat over 1500 or be unable to sustain over time. I don’t know your stats to know…
  • I’ll say our fridge is super clean Bc it’s fairly new—it’ll turn into a disaster. As far as the portioning goes—it’s something I have to do on sundays Bc I work long days teaching with an hour commute each day, so I need to quickly put together meals by grabbing and going. My OCD boyfriend aligns everything and I very much…
  • Have you had the enlightened? We buy any new flavor we see Bc they are delicious. Just tried brownie cookie dough and it was incredible too. Can’t figure out my favorite Bc they are all so good. Publix in our town just stocked up and has like 15 different flavors and I could not decide
  • In my old home it did. In my current home it has to open on the right side as there is a wall to the left it would hit
  • But my freezer paints another obsession
  • The veggies, fruit and cheese are hidden in drawers but you can see we love portion control ha
  • I used to travel all the time and this would happen. I would say, “I’m going to the gym for at least 2 hours.” They’d agree and an hour into the workout they’d be asking if I was ready to leave. I like to take my time there and it’s so annoying having someone try to rush you. During that time we shared a car so I’d just…
  • I always tell folks that the gym is the one time of the day where I practice self care, and with my workouts comes focus and time for personal reflection. I’ve had a few that still want to be gym buddies, but they essentially just want someone to hold them accountable and get them to the gym. I always text a friend when…
  • Is say it seems you are putting a lot heavier calories earlier in the day, which is causing you to be hungry at the end of the day. And you’re also more prone to snacking in the eve when you aren’t as active. I’m the same way. What worked a lot better for me was to essentially start intermittent fasting on a 10/14 plan. I…
  • Absolutely this—Start praising yourself and being kind to yourself for all of the things you’ve done right this week—and that will encourage your decision making.
  • Changing my diet and getting to the gym 5-6 times a week was key. I’m even finding better foods and regular exercise seems to keep my levels from fluctuating like it used to!
  • All of this Bc I couldn’t decide on a flavor...lol.
  • I made this recipe from MFP: https://blog.myfitnesspal.com/lemon-coconut-protein-no-bake-bites-recipe/ Taste like delicious cookies (kinda like a fig newton but better)...they are a perfect pick me up on a tiring day!
  • Nice! I ate one today! I will try adding white wine in as I haven’t done that before—I should have mentioned I LOVE tobasco and lemon juice (both acid and vinegar make me happy)—my boyfriend also prefers less lemon juice. I also usually just spoon it out of the large bowl right away as the pour can be messy. God bless…
  • I also really enjoy exercise —and have started playing racquetball—which my gym offers. Yet another reason to pay. I also have a really tight schedule. During the week my schedule is fully booked sans break from 4:30am-6 pm...I only have the time to work out, which I enjoy and is important to me from 6-9 pm...that’s my…
  • You can get them in the grocery store where they have cooking items like pans, but will be more expensive there. Try the kitchen section of Walmart or Target for the best price. They come in several sizes so you can even get small ones for dipping sauce. They are meant for canning and making pickles/preserves so designed…
  • Same! And I’m going through that now in the first week back!
  • I like to do small mason jars with a scoop of hummus or peanut butter at the bottoms and carrots or celery for dipping—easy to make and take with me. I also will do a teaspoon of creme fraiche with fresh green beans—that one is my favorite ! Pan roasted okra is my current favorite. I’ve also been baking some of the low…
  • The Enlightened Ice creams are delicious. My go to snack every few days is a small cone with one of them—mint chocolate chip is my current favorite :) I also love the simple truth low cow lemon cake.
  • It might be a bit too fast for 100 pounds a year. Doable, but the last of the weight is the hardest to get off. The only other thing I’d ask is your height. 100 could be too low of a weight depending on how tall you are.

  • Local running store—they will analyze and get you a pair that lasts years
  • I’ll also add that I enjoy the gym and it offers a lot of gear and equipment that I could never afford, like a sauna and all of the machines. It’s more cost effective for something that I love to go and do, just like someone enjoys paying more to go to a movie in a theatre on a big screen. I also like what some of them…
  • I teach and have students who crave recognition all the time...but it means nothing if I’m praising them for doing what they were supposed to do, like homework. I reserve it for extremely limited times when they go above and beyond or work hard for dramatic improvement on a big test. It means a lot more this way as they…
  • My go to for the past 25 years has been Ponds dry skin cream. It’s incredible and I have sensitive skin that breaks out. I turned 38 this year and feel like it’s helped me stay looking younger too!
  • How do you feel about not for profit gyms like the YMCA? I may be paying for my membership...but that money goes into youth programs about wellness and development. They also offer free or discounted memberships to those that cannot afford (which is why my membership is a little more cost wise). I also love that they offer…
  • I always find if I can get myself to start—I’m ready to keep going after about 10 min. Music and suiting up make a huge difference for me too—been some great suggestions. And, these is nothing wrong with seeing a doctor and getting some help. Mental health is a real thing many of us struggle with and there is nothing wrong…
  • When I’m on a pinch—I’m an easy mac girl...processed...and likely considered junk food in someone’s book... But they taste delicious, and in my book not eating and being far under calories is far worse for me! While I try my best to plan meals—life often gets in the way!
  • I make my own (I teach and they are great pick me ups mid day and I treat it like a dessert). We love these ones (taste like coconut fig newtons)...but still a lot of sugar in them...from the figs and applesauce https://blog.myfitnesspal.com/lemon-coconut-protein-no-bake-bites-recipe/
