Have you had the enlightened? We buy any new flavor we see Bc they are delicious. Just tried brownie cookie dough and it was incredible too. Can’t figure out my favorite Bc they are all so good. Publix in our town just stocked up and has like 15 different flavors and I could not decide

Disaster Fridge, aesthetic wise.
But produce filled.
Ready sliced kabocha in bottom drawers. Avos, holding at perfectly ripe.
Spinach.
Dairy (my indulgence!)
Chopped various veg and seeds in masons.
Waaaaay too many condiments.
ETA: coconut, pried from whole ones, in the talent jars. Portable!1 -

Enlightened is one of my favorites as long as it doesn't have marshmallow in the flavor, their marshmallow is awful. My favorites are Caramel Oatmeal Cookie Crunch, Salted Caramel, and Peanut Butter Chocolate. Triple chocolate and cold brew are good too. I'm curious about the new keto flavors but don't trust myself with a whole pint at higher calories!1 -

The crazy thing is when this discussion came up I was "my door opens on the right, no, wait, does it?" Then when I thought for a minute I realized my refrigerator has french doors so opens both on the right and left. Anyway, my frig is a disorganized nightmare, this thread is motivating me to clean it. I really need to better organize my pantry too.
I actually thought about posting a picture of dinner tonight (eaten extra late, at 10:30 due to work stuff), but as usual it wasn't as aesthetically pleasing as tasty -- pork chop (one of the heritage so fattier than usual ones) with cabbage, onion, and broccoli.2 -
@lemurcat2 I'm with you, no posting my fridge as it's desperately in need of a scrubbing, plus I'm low on food! I was thinking my fridge opened to the right but it's French doors too. I'd love it if the fridge part was on the left side though, I'm a lefty and it'd be more natural to me.1

They taste pretty close to regular cucumbers . . . it's just that they're round and yellow. Fun for visual variety, but mostly I bought them this time because they looked better than the regular long green cukes at the farmers market.2 -

No way. My OCD is already hiding it's head in shame because of some of the over the top organization and cleanliness shown already.

I console myself with the thought that my freezer has pizza in it. And steaks. And Taquitos lol.
I confess. The rules stated “don’t add or take out”. They didn’t say don’t rearrange. Or don’t take pictures of the door where you’re hiding the good (bad) stuff.

Packed this for a lunchtime salad!
Romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, black olives, chopped apple, homemade refrigerator pickled onion, diced steamed mushrooms, sprinkle of feta cheese, red bell pepper (most diced, one thin slice for decoration), strawberries.

My fridge is built in too. Looks neater than a free standing fridge. It was the first thing I changed when we moved into this flat. Fridge is in the first full length cupboard next to the counter containing the stove. The fies,reezer is underneath. I think built in fridges are more common in Europe than in North America. We also have smaller fridges because we shop for food more frequently.

I’ll say our fridge is super clean Bc it’s fairly new—it’ll turn into a disaster. As far as the portioning goes—it’s something I have to do on sundays Bc I work long days teaching with an hour commute each day, so I need to quickly put together meals by grabbing and going. My OCD boyfriend aligns everything and I very much enjoy moving stuff around to annoy him.

I too am a teacher that also have an hour commute each way...and I'm not even back to school yet. Reading your situation made me wonder how the heck you had such a beautiful fridge! I need one of those OCD boyfriends...or a maybe I should just get it together!2 -

Hidden and built in refrigerators are getting more common here, but I've mostly seen them in new construction or remodels and in higher-end places (for example, https://www.subzero-wolf.com). Usually they are larger than a standard here, IME. Barbara's may look larger than it is in the photo, but I have a standard size frig for the US, and hers seems bigger than mine. (I like House Hunters International, even if totally fake, since I like seeing the places in other countries.)
How often Americans shop varies quite a bit. In my old place I used to stop at the grocery store on my way home very often, since it was between my L stop and my home. In my new house (been here just over a year), there's a meat market that also sells produce and various staples that I a couple times a week on the way home, I'm a couple blocks from a mainstream grocery I go to every couple of weeks (more in the winter, less in the summer), I stop by a WF every couple of weeks, and I get a farm box weekly. I also usually hit the farmers market at least once I week.
Dinner tonight featured some corn from my farm box, a medley of veg (zucchini from the farm box, chard from my garden, onion and carrots from the farm box, and a pepper from my garden). Also leftover pork chop.2 -

Post it. Thats the point of this.... right now, not when filled, cleaned and properly organized. No judging. We all live busy lives.
Last night I went shopping so today my fridge does not look like it did in that last photo. Nothing like thats at all. Well maybe for the door section.

I read popular news media like 4 times a year when I bother to get my hair done.
I totally indulge in those awful magazines while I’m bored at the salon. It’s like being held hostage. I hate the time cost. But, you know... need mermaid hair...
Anyway, I occasionally see one of those ‘celebrity fridge’ posts, the fridge porn.
And my brain is instantly sceptical. Really life is messy.
I’m an ocd clean freak, and still.
Real life involves occasional disarray.
And messy produce filled fridges!!
Kabocha roasting in oven. Even though it’s hot as hell out.
There’s solar to power the AC so I don’t even feel tooo guilty oven-ing.

Assuming this is Allium tuberosum (like I'm thinking - possibly one of its cultivars, even), then in case anyone is wondering, these are absolutely as easy to grow as regular chives (Allium schoenoprasum) . . . so too easy to grow, maybe, very spready by seed and vegetatively, hardy to USDA zone 4 (-30F, -34C), and one can grow them in a pot indoors (that won't be enough, as with regular chives, unless it's a really big pot ). The unopened flower buds are good, and even the very young flowers are tasty and look pretty in a salad (both chives' flowers develop an unpleasantly (to me) gritty texture as they mature).

They're super easy to grow, I have some on my deck. They have not flowered this year though. I put them in salads.2 -

My third harvest of fava bean shoots, this time with stems picked over. I think my balcony is a little too windy for growing microgreens. If I leave them the recommended 2-3 weeks before harvesting the stems get a little tough from blowing around. I will put them in this recipe tomorrow as a replacement for bok choi. When I visited my mother last week she introduced me to Chinese olive vegetable paste and now I am a convert.

For those of you who own smokers (Tomek?) I had blanched broccoli finished in a wood burning smoker in a restaurant last night. Amazing. The hubby's order of roast potatoes were also done in the smoker.
