  • Aww, congratulations cadori, he is so cute. Babies just cheer a person up so much. Well, I'm doing better with lowering carbs but still want to nibble and cheat. My husband is not helping and he needs to get control of himself too. Did not get in any exercise on July 1, but did walk 2 miles mowing my yard today so I'm…
  • Oh! So thankful there's a July group. I've been furloughed from work and stopped checking in for all of June. Now, I've been called back to work today to start next week but instead of 8 hour days, they are making me do 12 hour nights. Not sure how this is gonna go with an eating plan. Goals- back to full keto - exercise…
  • Thx for the response. So disappointing to plan 6 months for a time away from home and not to be able to go. But spending time in the hospital wouldn't be fun either.
  • Check in for all of May Well, I didn't do so good. I give myself a 50% success. I haven't lost much weight. I'm not sure how June is going to go since I'm still furloughed from work and I have no true schedule every day. I'm trying to figure out what June is going to look like. I have a vacation scheduled for the 2nd half…
  • I haven't been sitting in front of a computer all day since I've been furloughed so neglected to check in regularly. 1. >15,000 steps per day. Not at goal most of the last several days 2. Close the Fitbit rings. I have been able to close the ring most of the time. 3. Continue low carb and low calorie goal. This doesn't…
  • Check in for 5/13 and 5/14 Almost made it to 15,000 steps on 5/14 but wasn't even close on 5/13. Didn't get those rings closed either day. Well under calories and low carb both days. Using my new resistance bands very carefully and getting a good arm workout every day. Pretty good low stress days.
  • Check in for May 9 thru 12. Now that I'm furloughed and don't have to be on the computer all the time, I haven't kept up with checking in. 1. Well over steps all days except May 10-Mother's day which I basically binged watched TV. Depressingly cold and windy outside. 2. Closed rings except for Mother's day. 3. Way over…
  • Check in 5/7 -almost made it to goal steps -missed 2 hours of steps so didn't close that ring -did get low carb and low calorie -did body weight exercises in the form of weeding a portion of an overgrown flower garden. Does that count? -walked over to a friend's house and had a good chat, good for the soul and stress level…
  • Check in for 5/5 and 5/6. 1. Not quite goal for 15,000 steps on 5/5 but made up for it on 5/6 with > 18,000. 2. Closed step rings both days though. 3. Low carb and low calories both days. Actually having some challenge eating enough. 4. 4 days of run/walking so far. I seem to be increasing cardio capacity. Yesterday was so…
  • Tishsmith, don't consider yourself late to the party. Sounds like you have opportunities with yard work. Now that I'm on a 3 month staycation I'm thankful for having a 3/10 of an acre yard with flower gardens all the way around the perimeter as well as all the way around the house. Let's keep a positive attitude together.…

  • I haven't checked in for a while, my days have been busy and stressful. Mostly, met goals with only one day of the last 5 being over carb and one day being over calories. One day missed the step goal and one day didn't close the Fitbit ring. These were different days. 4/28 was a perfect day and met all goals. I'm not sure…
  • I have had to talk people in to coming into the clinic to be treated for non COVID issues. My own son ran a screwdriver into his hand and should have had stitches and a tetanus vaccination but he wouldn't do it for fear of the virus.I had to scare him with fear of getting tetanus which could be worse than COVID.
  • Just got notice today that I am being furloughed for potentially 13 weeks. I do work in health care in a clinic and we have a few cases around the area but none have been admitted to the hospital. I am hoping and praying that this thing doesn't last past July and I'm called back. I live in southern WI and Madison and…

  • @rjan91, hang in there! Don't get too hard on yourself with low carb right now. It has been a challenge to find food in the grocery store. Our stress levels have all been elevated too during this pandemic which is causing us to be more hungry and give up on determination faster. Do what you can with what you have, we find…
