Ate more and lost
I had a huge meal last night- pizza! (Which is loaded with sodium). I was so ready to see the scale go up this morning, but I was down .4 lbs! Has this happened to anyone else- occasionally eating more than your calorie allotment yet losing weight? I'm curious for other stories. Thanks!

Day after a binge
I slipped up last night. I was lonely and bored and totally overrate (medium pizza for one). I didn't have true hunger at the time- it was total intentional overeating. Writing this and sharing helps... but I'm feeling so shameful. I only have about 8 lbs left to reach my goal and this behavior will not help me reach my…

Anyone else get way more hungry on rest/recovery days?

calories while training
Hi All, I'm new to the group and have a question regarding running/training and CICO. I'm working hard to drop some excess weight (10lbs or so). I'm a competitive runner, and want to be lean for racing in the spring. Anyhow... I often struggle with wanting to restrict calories too much too soon, and create huge energy…

Cardio can Strength Training
Which is better for fat loss? Or does it just come down to a calorie deficit for fat loss? I love my cardio and can push myself with intervals, hill repeats, and of course steady state. I lift occasionally too- but I'm curious if lifting more would help me drop the last 10lbs quicker. Just curious!

Scale discussion
I know I need to be weighing myself more often, so I hopped on today - the first time in 7 weeks. I'm down 4lbs. Although I'm happy for the loss, I feel like such a slow loser! Maddening. Hopefully committing to a daily weigh-in will help. I weigh my food and track daily, but feel like actually getting on the scale will…

Hungry all day!
I'm fairly active and log all my meals. I have my long run on Sunday, and since yesterday was Sunday, I went for my regular 12 mile run. Monday's are usually recovery days for me and I find myself starving today. Literally hungry all day. I'm drinking plenty of water and checking-in for true hunger and I'm just having one…

Running and calories
Hi running friends... I've been wondering if I'm eating the proper amount of calories considering my training routine (swim/run/lifting). I am stuck in this awful place were I feel guilty if I eat more than say, 1600 calories, despite a 10 mile run. That said, my weight loss is slow, and my running is going fairly well. My…

Scale Scared: The woes of weighing in
The last time I weighed myself was about 12 days ago. I had lost 4 lbs (yay!). However, I am now terrified of stepping on the scale. I've been weighing my food, logging everything, exercising more, and staying within my calorie goal. In essence, I'm doing everything right. Despite this, I'm terrified of weighing in -…

"saving up" calories
I'm curious... if I have a string of several days where I'm well under my calorie goal, is it "OK" to eat over for one day? For example, for the past 6 days, I have been way under my calorie goal (like 300-500 under each day). Last night, I had a work event and just enjoyed myself and the food available. I know I ate over…

Diary check
Hey All- I'm back at MFP and finally seeing how awesome the community forums are! Would anyone mind taking a peek at my diary? I want to make sure I'm doing this right. I workout a lot and am trying to find the balance of losing fat while fueling my activities. Any suggestions or feedback welcome. TIA!

Does this really work?
I've set my calorie/weight goal. My garmin is linked to my account, so I do eat back some exercise calories- not all but some. I'm finding that most days (when I plan, track, and exercise) it's very easy for me to hit my calorie goal (and have a deficit). I'm only slightly hungry, usually at night time, but not enough to…
