Why does my fit pal increase your daily calories after exercise when you want to lose weight?

I'm a 59 year old male and weight 288 and would like to lose 2 lbs per week. I changed the macro to 40 g carbs 30g fat and 30g protein and the site set me at 2020 calories per day. Am on track or do I need to adjust? Thanks!

How do you log recipes such as a chili recipe? I would like to be as accurate as possible. Is there a system such as weight watchers where you add fat grams etc to get the info you need?
