Carbs, Carbs, Carbs?
So I am eating at a deficit to lose 2 pounds a week but it is coming off slower and slower! Each day, my macros are suggesting I am eating way above the recommended amount of carbs. Finding it tricky to get the required amount of protein and fat in as I eat a plant based diet. If I drink a protein shake, it basically is…

Need to focus
I have a stone to lose and 2 months to do it. I'm not obese but would like to feel more confident in my skin on my wedding day and honeymoon. I'm 9stone 8lbs and would like to get to 8stone 8lbs. How much should I aim to lose each week to meet my target?

Heart rate zones
Hi, Could someone please explain to me how the heart rate zones work. When I run my fitbit tells me my heart rate is in the peak zone, but when I walk the dog it's in the fat burning zone. Surely, I will burn more calories running, therefore lose more fat?

Eating back exercise calories
So, I am getting back into the gym. Hitting it hard and loving it. Feel much better. I am aiming to go at least 3-4 times a week, for an hour each session. I do a mix of cardio and lifting. I burn on average 400 calories per workout (based on Fitbit). However, as i am eating a carby lunch, pre workout (pasta and tuna etc)…

Realistic time scale
I went to my gym today for the first time in a while. Been lacking motivation but I'm back in the game.... I spoke to my instructor who gave me some advice. But I was looking for someone's personal experience who may help. I currently weigh 132lbs, 157cm and the body fat % is 27.8. I am hoping to reduce body fat and focus…

Water retention
So this weekend I had a 'weekend off'. My partner and I went for a romantic getaway and he asked me to marry him!! I ate far too much but climbed up a mountain (20,000 steps). When I weighed myself today I've put on 4lbs. Could this be water retention as I didn't drink enough water? Will I loose it again quickly? Thank you.

What is going on?!?
I am trying really hard to loose weight... I weigh my food, am picky with what I eat etc. But I am gaining 2lb here and there then loosing it before gaining it again. I am changing nothing!! I am really starting to loose heart as I am currently on 1lb less than I was over a month ago but I'm eating a 500 calorie deficit…

MFP vs Fitbit
So I've set my goal to loose 2lbs a week before Christmas. MFP has set my calorie intake at 1200 calories, but Fitbit (obviously being able to track how many calories I am burning each day and working on a 1000 calorie a day deficit) is telling me that is way too much. Fitbit reckons I should be eating around 800 calories…

Lost my way
So these last few weeks my weight has yoyo'd up and down and I have lost my way. I'm not as strict with myself and I've lost interest in the gym. I've found it hard as I've been going to lunch etc with friends with the lead up to Christmas and recently getting engaged. How do I motivate myself to get back on track? Going…

Too much water?
How much should I be drinking? I usually get through 2000ml of water, plus about 5 mugs of green or peppermint tea... Does tea count towards my intake? Am I drinking too much?

Ideal time to start muscle building
Hi all, I have lost 1st 8lb recently, and I'm still loosing at a steady rate without really exercising. I walk the dog every day, but I used to go to the gym regularly and I found I was loosing less weight. Now I understand I was probably gaining muscle which is better than fat, but it was off putting when getting on the…

Night Out ADVICE
Hi everyone, On Saturday I have a night out planned, which will involve alcohol and dancing. Now my drink of choice is gin & tonic, so if it's slim line it will be pretty low calorie. However, I've been doing so well, I don't want a night to ruin my weeks weight loss. My question is... Do I reduce my food to allow for…

Under calorie goal?
Hi all, I have recently started using MFP again after a long break. My daily calorie goal is 1,200. I weigh 146lbs. My start weight was 155lbs, and I've been calorie counting for just over 2 weeks. So the start has been pretty successful. My aim is to loose another 28lbs. Anyway, my point for this post is because I am…
