Switching to body weight, at home exercises for a while?
My schedule for the next 5 weeks looks like it's gonna restrict me from going to the gym as often as I'd like (Closest gym is a 30 min drive away from my house). I'm thinking about switching to a program revolving around body weight exercises, that way I can consistently get workouts in. My question is, has anybody here…

Replacing back squat with front squat as my primary leg exercise?
I came across this study, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/19002072/ It basically concludes that front squats can be safer for the knee joints than back squats, which sounds appealing to me as I have a past plagued by knee injuries. It also infers that little to no difference was found in muscle activation and…

Eating at maintenance level, but gaining weight?
I am a 20 year old male, 5'11 and weigh in at about 182lbs. 8 weeks ago, I got off my diet (which I lost 75lbs from), and decided to focus on building a bit more muscle/strength. I wanted to start at maintenance to test out the waters a bit, then possibly start bulking. My maintenance caloric range should be between…

How to stop or reduce butt wink on squats?
I found myself butt winking every time I squatted to parallel or lower with a barbell. I tried some body weight squats to only find the same result. Any tips? I do work on mobility issues a few times a week for ankles, hips, glutes, calves, quads, hamstrings, and lower back so maybe it could be a technique issue? Any tips…

What do you think of this workout program?
Upper/Lower split 4 days a week revolving primarily around compound movements w/ a lil bit of accessory work. The 1st two movements in each day are 4 sets of 5-8 reps with heavy weight. Rest of the movements are 3 sets higher volume. I KNOW I'm missing squats but I have really bad knees and simply can't perform them at the…

Lean bulking?
I am considering to go on a lean bulk soon and have run into somewhat of a wall. Kinobody's take on lean bulking is to bulk by 500 cal for 3 weeks then go on a deficit for the 4th by 500 cal then repeat. Sounds legit but Another article I read suggested bulkin by 500 cals on the days that I train, and on my off days simply…

Let development/strength without squats?
Backstory: fully dislocated kneecap 3 times ( 1 on left, 2 on right). 2 surgeries (knee recon on each knee) and they still occasionally pop out of place but pop back in right after. I'm a 20 year old guy and I started having problems freshman year of HS. Been lifting for a year, but back squating since October. Last month…

Having trouble eating enough calories.
Hello. I have been lifting weights since Jan and have made noticeable gains since then. I have been in a caloric deficit since I have started, which has led to my 63 lb weight loss this year. I started walking 10K steps a day 2 days ago and plan to continue this plan along with weight lifting which means more calories…
