I have an opportunity to start swimming now so my thought was to do my gym routine MWF and swim T, TH. I haven't swam like this in years. What's the best way to get started again? Thanks!

Planks and a sore neck?
I have just gotten back into the swing of things after a long break. Part of the exercises my fitness coach had given me before was to do planks, fire hydrants, leg lifts straight back and leg lifts while on a side plank. Skin seems chapped when I sweat?
Good morning, I am experiencing something I have not ran across before. When I work out, my face burns where I sweat. It is almost as if my face is chapped. Has anyone else experienced this?

Adding calories earned through exercise
I am curious on the thoughts of increasing the daily calorie intake based on exercise activity. MyFitnessPal automatically adds extra calories for each day based on how many calories I burn. How is this helpful? I thought the point was to burn the calories that you take in? Please help me understand.
